This is amazing, every morning I read the Bible and I'm currently reading the Old Testament. Well this morning before your talk I was reading Exodus 26: 15-30 about the Sacred Tent and I even looked it up on You Tube to get an idea of how beautiful it must have been. Dear Father Alar, Thank you for your broadcast. I want to share with you a very special experience I had today. I was taking a nap and had a very unusual dream. I then woke up and noticed my cheeks were wet with tears. I did not understand why I cried, so I tried to remember the dream. Then I remembered that I dreamt that I was standing in front of a small boxlike concrete building structure that I felt was very holy, but it was too small to be a church. In my dream, I felt the presence of God within that structure and started crying effusively in my dream. Then I noticed through my KZbin history, I was listening to KZbin news about the Russian/Ukraine war with my airpod in my ear, and I fell asleep. After that news episode ended, subsequent KZbin episodes broadcasts followed, and then my airpod fell out of my ear and then I woke up. When I looked at my iPhone, I notice the broadcast stopped in the middle of your broadcast: “Explaining the Faith- Ark of the Covenant”. I don’t know what “Ark of the Covenant” means, so I listen from the beginning of that broadcast. Your broadcast then related the meaning and the relationship of the Ark of the Covenant in the Old Testament, and Mary as the New Ark of the Covenant in the New Testament, and the Tabernacle in our Catholic Church as the vessel holding the Eucharist who is Jesus Himself. Then I realized, the “holy boxlike structure” that made me cried effusively in my dream was the Tabernacle that holds the Eucharist that is Christ Himself. I then listened to your next broadcast about Penance and preparing for Lent Season, starting with Ash Wednesday tomorrow. That was very informative, and I intend to make this Lent season to be the best and most meaningful Lent season I have ever had.

I heard a lot of the Ark and the Tent of Meeting during Father Mike’s ‘Bible in a Year’ podcast, but having pictures definitely helps visualize what everything looks like. He also pointed out the comparison between David with the Ark and Mary visiting Elizabeth, so I’m glad more people get to hear about such a beautiful connection with the OT and NT 😇 It’s always funny when people complain “MaRy iSn’t in tHe bIbLe” when it’s quite clear she played an important role in our salvation history. Her and the Ark’s purity is also a connection I emphasize when confronted with the Perpetual Virgin dogma and the “she had other kids” argument. Seeing as Joseph also had direct visions from God and was a righteous man, why would he even think about defiling his Lord’s earthly home? Especially since the text implies he and Mary were going to have a different marriage from the start? I do feel sorry for Uzza as I also would have stabilized the Ark, but it was stated no touching and the Ark wasn’t being carried by the Levis so a bad situation all around. I just wonder how heavy the Ark was and how strong the men had to have been to carry it across such harsh terrain. 😅 I can sometimes get winded just walking outside. Hello sister: thanks for your thoughts you ask good questions: hutchinson team attempted to recreate the ark to the bible's specifications. they ran into difficulties almost immediately... the bible states a lid of pure gold (i guess thats 24 carats) is required. the cherubim on the lid are also required to be pure gold (this is still highly skilled work, today, to cast gold in this manner). considering the original ark builders made the ark 3000 years ago, I find myself wondering how they fused the cherubim onto the lid. (great heat would be required). the carpenter on hutchinson project, estimated the overall weight of the ark to be "2 tons" (that's heavier than a modern motor vehicle). strongmen today, can lift 1 ton (1000 kg) for a few seconds (if they are elite lifters and highly trained) how the priestcast carried a 2 ton box through the desert in dry, hot conditions, or circled city walls is not satisfactorily answered in my mind (I happen to work in engineering). hutchinson team estimated the cost of a genuine replica ark, today at: "10 million dollars". in my opinion, the hutchinson team replica was highly flawed, although an interesting experiment. they did not use "overlay" gold, solid gold lid and cherubims, and they certainly didnt carry this box through desert terrain. (a much smaller scale model could be built, using "continuous" gold overlay inside and out: which I believe is the key to how it operates)... however... If I've understood Father Alar correctly, it doesnt really matter what happened to the ark, prophecy was fulfilled by the ark becoming flesh in the NT. Since I've worked on a few electrical projects, I find myself agreeing. The hebrews figured out the genuine ark was lethal. One man, probably trained and wearing special clothing, approached ark once a year, sprinkling lambs blood on the lid (I dont believe he touched it directly). when you work with electrical devices, you begin to respect them pretty darn quick.... peace: thanks for reading. Great job Fr Chris. I particularly liked the connection of Yom Kippur with Divine Mercy Sunday and the Mercy seat. I loved the whole talk, very deep theology. I saw these videos too on KZbin. The true and Final Arc, Mary. Beautiful! The entire description of the arc and what is inside: commands us to follow His commandments and today we can live in the Arc of the of the Immaculate heart, United to the Sacred Heart. Mary, who is exemplar of obedience to the commandments, but contains not the engraved Commandments of stone , but the very living Word Itself. This is very, very deep theology you have explained. We could talk about this for weeks. You did a great job. Notice the people broke the commandments and so Moses smashed the tablets but God proves His infinite mercy and fixed the breaking of the commandments in the people souls and the tablets which were thrown down and broken by Moses to demonstrate the grave sin of the people.

Read the bible don’t take any ones word for granted you are responsible for your own salvation . The Catholic Church worship Mary , that’s is not good teaching , israel was sent into captivity for praying to idols .God hates people who carve idols for the people to pray to.
