When I first saw this watch I had mixed feeling but now I like this a lot. Maybe even pick one up but some time deep into the future. No way I can call myself a true collector until I ad a breitling into my collection as I have always wanted one

The clasp is head and shoulders above the clasp on the SuperOcean Heritage. As is the lume. But I do love my SO Heritage. I tend to wear it on the rubber strap the most.

The Superocean needs to be experienced in hand. It is unique looking and beautifully built. Not every diver needs to look like a Submariner derivative.

Congratulations on your partnership with Saltzmans, I will definitely take a look at their website. I just love this Superocean model, did so from day 1. However, for my smaller wrist size, I would look at a 42mm case version. In 42mm I'm in love with the yellow and orange dials as I own the previous model Superocean with white dial and blue accents and bezel. Now, my understanding is that the 42mm yellow dial is only available online? Maybe the folks at Saltzmans can verify? I love Breitling and absolutely like to add another one to my collection at some point 🙂 Thank you, Joe, for sharing this incredible watch and your thoughts with us.

Nice review! I do like the looks of these, would definitely wear a smaller version! That patented locking mechanism for the bezel is cool! Never seen that before! Congrats on the collab with Saltzman's that's awesome!

@@AvgJoeWatchReviews actually if I remember correctly, the locking switch on the side of the case also prevents the chrono pushers from being pressed, so if you’re timing the start of a regatta and the race itself, with the lock engaged there’s no chance of accidentally stopping or resetting the chronograph.

Really good looking watch. In the early 80's Eberhard, Breitling and ScubaPro came up with the same watch. 1000m or 3300ft (for non believers in metrical system), all of them quartzes. The Breitling was - of course - a Superocean. The Scuba one is the rarest to come by, but why not a modern quartz diver from a luxury brand? ❤

Excellent review as always. Although it's 46mm it looks around the same size of my old and loved Orient Mako XL! This will be ok for my 8.1" wrist but it looks wearable even on slimmer wrists over 7". Not quite sure what I feel about the dial, might have to try one on to see how it looks.

I have a 44 in Aqua & 42 in White-Blue; really like this lineup, but the 46 is a bit too much for all but a small percentage of people with offensive lineman sized wrists.
