Diving Lake Jindabyne

Only just learnt about Lake Jindabyne/ Jindabyne and how the town was flooded in order for the snowy hydro. I quickly came to KZbin to look at scuba diving videos of it and found this. Amazing video and thank you for showing us the world down there!! Safe dives!

May I also please ask, are the diving lines already down there or did someone go ahead and lay them down for you before you dove? Just curious to know if anyone with a scuba ticket can do this?

Hi. No the lines are not there permanently. We ran the lines ourselves. We took them back out when we left. I mean technically if you have the GPS coordinates and have your own gear there is nothing stopping anyone diving there. I would suggest it's not the place for people who don't have a lot more than just a recreational scuba tickets. We for example are all experienced cave divers and rebreather divers. It is cold, deep, dark and at altitude.
