Ya. I would check online for the best way to handle EVERY situation. Then after multiple playthrough i realized it doesn't matter. U get so strong it doesn't matter if u skip xp or just use whatever weapon.

@@coreyano That depends..I and 2 friends legitimately played blindly on honor mode and nearly wiped at act 3 from a dumb yet funny quest that killed 3 of us. We all played the first div so we knew to always keep at least 1 main character at a safe location. I Won't spoil what happens but what ever you do don't turn a certain device within an act 3 quest. After this we looked up information for act 4 making sure we would not die from a similar situation.

For me it was act 3. But i recommend to play with a friend and use lone wolf talent because it makes the game more fun and the role playing part more natural, since you dont have to role play as 4 different character.

This build is great and it's one of my favourites. That being said, I think this build (and any build for that matter) benefits from being an Elf and taking a point in scoundrel for Flesh Sacrifice and Adrenaline respectively. More AP is always optimal and the 10% damage increase is the cherry on top. So if you're going for optimization, those 2 skills are must-haves imo. Side note, if you're playing a Lone Wolf, that one point in scoundrel becomes 2 and you can also get Cloak and Dagger for a really solid movement ability.

I recommend grabbing apotheosis for the super late game, adding in clear mind and haste as pre buffs just makes you so strong, for a crazy hard fight just prebuff apostheosis and haste,rain, chain lighting, adrenaline, thunderstorm. Next turn reset cool down with skin graft and chain lighting again.... Most enemies should be low or dead by then if you crit.

Oooooohhh another build. Great that this game still has an active content creator. Amazing content for an amazing game. :D My two cents about this build is that this excels more as a CCbot than a damage dealer if it's going to hybrid between two schools with absurd CC. Cuz, correct me if I'm wrong, that's the point of this hybrid build anyway, taking all of the synergistic CC between the two schools. Personally though, I'd invest max:3 on either hydro or aero, rather than even split, and make that element as the main stat and the other as backup CC. The reason being I think (though do correct me if I'm wrong) it's better to make one school do the damage with the single cast rather than rely on multiple actions from 2 schools for stripping magic armor. Esp when AP is rare on non LW builds. Since build doesn't call for adrenaline (which imo it should take cuz it 's broken) then those 4 action points should ideally be spent more efficiently. Maxing out one school wont make the CC of the other bad.

For that kind of build, I found "The Pawn" really REALLY useful. As you lake of mobility and you want to get as much foes as you can in your AoE, positionning is a must have. Investing in scondrel allow your to deal even more damages on crit, it's really cool. I'll add that Teleportation and Nether Swap are such cool spells to pack enemies together !

With the newest gift bag update I suggest getting Peck Eyes instead of rain. You can find a rain book in the chest that's right before the Saltwater crocs that have the teleport gloves. No fight needed it's just in a lock chest that you can get before doing anything. (If none of your party members have thievery you can just beat the chest open.)

I run a similar build with Sebille with a little bit of battlemage thrown in to take full advantage of the powerful short range spells that you get access to. Originally, it was just a radiant battlemage, but I found myself needing water damage since nobody else had it. IT's been working pretty well so far.

It would be cool to see some build ideas for Epic Encounters 2 mod when it finally comes out. Over 2 years in development, currently in open beta should be coming out to Steam workshop rather soon. If you think that vanilla game has a lot of builds and depth, prepare to be blown away. Among a lot of enchantments like making mixed damage party builds to be able to achieve synergy when played well, it also adds additional progression mechanic, which reminds a bit of Skyrim's perk points via custom all new graphical user interface. Also offers tougher challenges for Divinity II original sin veterans if they like to crank up the difficulty too.

Just started playing this on PC after playing it on console and started anew after just a few hours. The first play thru was doing OK but I wasn't really satisfied with it. Since Lohse is an Enchanter I think I'll follow this for her but I plan to give Fane Necromancer skills instead of Pyro, keep the Red Prince as is and change my Polymorph Ranger to a Ranger/Summoner.

Another build that seems to be ideal for Lone Wolf rather than group play since friendly fire can and will decimate companions. As evident by the build showcase gameplay in the background....the best use of any of these builds is playing in a smaller group as there is less chance to stun or freeze party members.

You could just be more careful about positioning or stack elemental resistances. The potions for those are easy to get. It’s not hard at all. Just requires some thought.

@@avarook884 Friendly fire is just one reason why the game favors Lone Wolf to 4 man groups. The other reasons include things like increased AP which allows greater mobility and damage, greater armor values which make you able to take more damage without taking health damage, cheaper and greater access to skills and gear since you have less characters to gear up and the ability to fully play a character without gimping yourself due to lack of skill points. Almost all builds are better lone wolf than 4 man simply because you are not hamstrung by not having enough skill/attribute points early to be effective and of course as you get later in the game, you are, or should be able to, significantly control the battlefield more due to having access to more skills within skill lines since it doesn't take as many skill points to level a particular skill line. 4 man groups are great for spreading your actions and skills across multiple characters and allows you to specialize in one particular skill line vs multiclassing, however I would argue that since the game perpetually has you fighting enemies of multiple armor types you are often best picking up multiple skills regardless of if you play Lone Wolf or not. I am not saying that this game requires you to play Lone Wolf, in fact the fact that it is optional is one of its great strengths, but I have found is that when creating builds that are fully realized and without major deficiencies in certain aspects, Lone Wolf is by far the better/ best way to build characters as it gives you the most flexibility in how you play overall. In the end it is a matter of preference and one that matters more to the individual than a one size fits all statement but for these and many other builds, it is important to note that, as evident by the gameplay, these builds are better lone wolf than in a party of 4.

Starting with rain? You can get rain from the Croc's on the Joy, I'd rather pickup shocking touch or blinding radiance from character creation, get the free rain + blood rain after playing a little.

I'd trade one of them for a summoner for water totems and buffs. With 3 totems which apply "wet" + icy pet you still freeze everything in sight, but primarily you also have a plan B for stuff that has water/air resistance. Plus summoner doesn't need Executioner so you can buff the one that has it and let him go mental instead of stealing his kills.

Is this basically a more up to date Tidalist or am I missing something? Also, I started planning my team for Tactician and I wanted a slight adaptation of you "Usual Suspects" team. Substituting Ranger for Magick Archer and getting someone else to do the Stormchaser. In a pretty old comment chain you recommended Battlemage, but won't his pyro spells directly go agaisnt the Tidalist casting water and ice spells everywhere? I only hope that PoE2 in consoles is less buggy than the first one. The first one was basically unplayable on PS4 due to the MASSIVE loading times. Whilst these are better on the Switch (yes, I got it twice), the infamous graphics glitches in the Switch edition made me once more drop the game.

I'm really disappointed in one aspect of this game, when started creating my Lohse I really loved her enchanter look and cool looking staff in creation menu. To me staves are way cooler than wands and are signature look of all mages and are suppose to be ranged... than I started playing the game and realized staves are basically more melee like close range weapons... and both her CC outfit and origin story outfit are never seen in the game anyway you end up with goofy looking outfits and armor just the same, and I had to switch do wands lol. Not a biggie I am enjoying the game a lot I was just surprised how different it is to other fantasy type games I played. :)

Loving these videos and build. I need help with the build for our fourth and final party member. Any help would be appreciated. My girlfriend and I are starting a co-op game on the PS4. We've discussed it a bit and this is our current plan for our party. I'll be playing Lohse as an Elusive Enchanter. She'll be playing Fane as a Wayfarer/Ranger/Summoner (with some geo for poison for Fane) We plan to take The Red Prince as a Frost Paladin because it synergises well with the Elusive Enchanter. We need help with suggestions for our 4th member's build. We are thinking of taking Sebille and doing something with necromancy. I know with the Elusive Enchanter, melee might not be the best choice. Perhaps some necro cleric of some sort? What do you all suggest. NOTE: The character options are for RP purposes so we don't really want to change that. I know Ifan works best as a Ranger but we're quite set on this party combo for RP purposes. Thanks in advance.
