This whole thing stems from trying to help people through legendary, anbd they run some absolute weird builds, that they do not know hwo to use and are certainly not using them in the right situations. I try and help, I get ignored.

That last point you made is the entire argument. Yeah, a player might be reviving a 'meta' player more frequently as a 'normal' player, however, it's the context that matters. If that meta player has done a shit ton of damage, or covered the flanks of the other three, before dying, then that is a major net positive. But if a normal player has sat back and cautiously done minimal damage, letting one or two teamates get flanked and die, then which player is the one letting everyone down?

The way to go for me has become finding a group of clan mates or friends to play a legendary, but agreeing we are just build testing. Experimenting with builds in random groups just seems like a breach of etiquette. You bring your best builds and game to legendary period. Any other approach means you are vestigial limb, and to me kind of shows a lack of respect to your teammates and their time.

Tell people this all the time. 99 % of this game you can run damn near anything and be effective. Heroic and below. But you need to at least have these meta builds for when you decide you want to run the hardest stuff in the game.

Hm, now after several hrs in game, knowing taste of speedruning I know dps is king so my skill builds are in stash. Except oxy and explo sometimes. But I still remember that time when doing legendary without skill build was almost imposible. And drones in front of DUA were ignoring our turrets and drones, ehh trauma till today xD Now I'm still using those builds in matchmaking. Still very helpfull and actually fresh when you use dps builds most of the time. Good video as usual.

The reason behind the Skill build when Legendary first came out with the Support Guys Healing box. It was impossible to kill anything with two of these overlapping and you could not push forward to DPS the box. So you had to throw a Turret near it and hope for the best. ONce the Heal boxes were changed, DPS became the most viablle option again, but everyone just stuck with skill builds.

@@DodRegnbue As for me and few lads it was the only option for some time. Low skill and little knowledge about game mechanics, there was no Dods channel unfortunately(or that I never been tubers fan for reason you mentioned in many videos by now). I was actually pretty fresh player at all. Learning from reddit. And never liked stay behind cover for long so been pushing with that yellow Provi chest. So this is history in short. But I get your point. In game specialy on lego lvl skills are not so good as someone can think.

I mainly build fir teams. On-going skill healer, hardwire healer, eclipse foam healer. And a btsu reset for the DPS players who do always end up on the floor looking for there glasses.

I have them split between characters. Character one is just DPS builds, For Solo or playing DPS in a team. Character 2 is pure Team orientated. Some DPS, mostly support and CC though.

@@DodRegnbue I should probably divide my characters like that. #1 is my hybrid healer, and tank builds(and general old school builds). Second character is my future initiative builds, third is my DPS (all styles) and 4th is status effects and skills+hunters fury

I do not actually know. There is a "Stickers" which I beleive is like Donations. Not 100% sure though, still VERY new to all of this.

Exactly this is the reason I hate legendary missions. Don't have enough skill to play it, even with decent build, and don't want to be a burden to teammates.

You learn by doing, and doing it on repeat, you get better. I have no issue with failing, as long as you give it your all, and learn from it, it is a win in my book. Oh, and listen to those that do have experience.

I have done every legendary mission. I don't play them often. I have my bighorn so there is no more rewards I need to claim by playing those missions

The problem with the game is that when you start and don't know anything about the game, you start with a lot of armor and skills. People then think that this is what they have to build on so they end up with 6 armor core and no dps. It's as if the game has been designed to make people NOT play with dps from the start, so this means that people (Ubisoft Massive) funnily also play for a long time and then you can brag that we have many player in our game, damn it's clear they can't kill anyone.

All the shining stars are playing with their drones and turrets. Aren't actually doing any dps. Their skills are doing the dps. The only way to avoid being killed in this game is to do the killing, quickly, and efficiently as possible. You are not a target if your enemies are dead. Killing efficiently means dropping into cover when possible in order to gain some health and reload. Then, its bullets flying and people dying 💪🏻

I think the way they built this game, support and skill are just kinda there, they tuned all the heroic/legendary stuff to emp everything but bullets into non-usable. Ubi like that though.

Just wonder: do you ever run out of ammo with this DPS build? I'm specifically thinking about the large field in Tidal Basin, the one after the field with the laser turrets. The field with spawn after spawn where so many random matched teams get wiped, partly because a lot of players run to the back to the ammo crate. By the way: "(...) marvel at my overall o-penis (...)"??? :-)

This are in Legendary Tidal is a huge pain in the ass, granted. However, there are ways around it. the two easiest way are 1) Have all 4 players run gunner. This is 25% of your max ammo every minute. 2) Head Hunters + CC. This option requires more skilled players, and limites the entire issue to just Warhounds and Chungas, everything else is just 1 bullet.

Ceska chest crit chnce, weapon handling, crit dmg... striker holster crit chnce, striker knees crit dmg... striker gloves crit dmg, striker BP crit dmg x2... let me know what to adjust, also can't seem to farm a better chest piece yet...

I get away with face tanking in solo but add one other and I am done with! Builds I can run solo is not helpful to me or anyone in group.

Quirky skill builds should be avoided. Drone & Turret Skill Builds can actually be really good IF you properly place the turret, direct the drone, & SHOOT YOUR WEAPON... My carry build is actually a Max Skill DMG /CHC CHD Memento Gunner Drone & Turret setup. When you mentioned Mortar being OK in DUA.. For you sure, for your team NOPE, screen shake & visual cancer for everyone else, if someone uses a Mortar Turret around me I leave, I am not capable of dealing with that frustration, its not the players fault its poor design.

@@DodRegnbue sounds like the capacitor, empress, bravo, picaris, glass cannon, memento build. 6 yellow, 6 red. 2 blue. love that build!. p.s. blinder is not procing galvanized. trauma will, gun talent will on the 4th kill but not Blinder. been running a galvanized hunters fury scorpio for my carry build. Blinder would help with CC if it was working correctly. love it

I really prefer the artificer hive over the tickling drone (infact i HATE turret +drone players with skillhaste), place the turret as far forward you can, send in the hive to cover it (not too close or explosions hitting the turret will blow up the hive). Now you have an aggro magnet to soak nades & drones (for you AND your team) and is more or less invunerable unless 3 chungas decide to spam it with backpacks. But yeah the gun does damage too, and skill haste is pointless where a good 60% crit chance means your 6 yellow 2 red cores skill build actually can cover your team mates by killing stuff. So you have a decent gun and an invunerable BUFFED turret that does more damage than the drone. And noone have to wait for the skills to come back for you unless you're doing super speed runs. People usually say "the drone is for flushing out enemies " the answer to that is A) if you did damage the enemy would be dead, not supressed. B) grenades exists C) team mates exists. I do agree 100% with mortars on the team. Not only the ears ring and the screen shake -you can't hear audio queues such as "the drones are up".
