Yes it is! Not something many seem to know about, though they were made and branded as several different things. It's definitely a warbling wonky thing, but I like that.

no such thing as "best" ... it's too subjective and too dependent on what you want to achieve. In terms of modular format the ultimate would surely be to build a whole case built around your needs of sound sources, modulation, performance based interactions, FX etc.

you're buying into a instrument meant for hands on playing. If you like the general approach but want connectivity check out the Moffenzeef Eurorack modules. I really like the GMO.

yeah there's some nice modules to broken out the pieces here I think, I do like that forces you embrace the lack of external control though.

there's nothing. It drones and doesn't take outside influence. Nothing is clocked on it anyway and there's envelopes to fire with gates. The only outside influence is an expression input on the side.

didn't have to hand and they were all out of the LED jacks so couldn't send any. But Moffenzeef have updated the firmware on their Github so you can assign it to more of the controls.
