That is a problem. He literally took food out of his children’s mouth. He admitted that he doesn’t have money, but he put a down payment on a car that he cannot afford. When he said money is always going to be coming in, that is code for “she has a stable job and she is going to take care of me.” I know because I have been there. I understand her frustration and the stress of being the bread winner and making sure your household is taken care of. I was with someone like him. Every time he had a little bit of money, he blew it. He was car shopping and leased a Lexus. I tried to talk him into getting a car like mine (2013 Nissan Sentra), but he gave me the excuse of this is my dream car and I always wanted it. Not even a year later, the car has been repoed a few times and had the nerve to always ask me for money to pay a bill. While I was getting my to go to work, he was in my bed sleep all day. He was not interested in getting another job and he was toxic and mentally abusive. He does not support her/ understand her and I hope one day she will see that she deserves better and she can muster up the strength to leave.
