I know this was done 2 years ago but I’m new at this stuff and it popped up on my feed. Question: If you’re using Dixie Belle products, may I ask why you sanded instead of using Slick Stick??

Hey Deb! It's all about preferences. She could of slapped some Slick Stick all over the piece but she was going for more of a clean look all over, therefore she sanded instead of putting Slick Stick on top. I hope this helps!

You do not have to prime, sand or strip before using DBP but you should always clean with White Lightning before painting.

Have you ever had a bug land on it or fuzz when it's drying? What do you do then?

You can use the corner of your brush or your finger to remove the debris and gently settle the paint in that area. You can also use a mist of water to remove and brush your finger marks.

Im surprosed you didn't see the opportunity to fill in the details with another color Wax/Gilding Wax/gemstone mouse/Gel Wax, to name of few. French Furniture is known for those details to be brought out for a decorative form. Thats something you should look into to learn more tricks on decorating french furniture which are my favorite type of furniture because of the scrolls and details etc. Its always best to take advantage of the beauty of those details and bring them out to show them off and make the best of the pieces stand out!
