Me too. I am a single mom of 3, also, and I want to do this, as well. I am just waiting until they have Father's Day sales at the hardware stores, so I can get some power tools. I have some nice old dressers, from my neighbor, and I can't wait to get started.

I just tried rustoleum chalked and it left a lot of brush strokes. Dixie bell is much easier to work with. Good luck ladies

I thought whole purpose of silk is that is has a primer/blocker ?? Otherwise just buy Dixie belle or some other paint…. I’d like to see just done with Silk….so I can see if it claims are true.

Thank you for watching Lisa. This dresser was painted using Silk paint only, no primer was applied. The only additional products used were Dixie Mud to repair some dents on the piece and Big Mama's Butta to condition and revitalize the wood inside the drawers.

Amazing color. Loved the inside coat. When u said the blue would be even ok for a girl's room I felt like as u spoke u realised ups. We live in a gender fluid world 😅.
