Did you get the esc issues sorted out? I'd like to know. It's not really setup like a tank. My Henglong tank has two motors that both drive and steer. Turning requires one motor to stop/slow down while the other motor drives one set of tracks.

I friggin love mine gotta go float it lol, the middle motor is steering actually. My set up is 2 1080s from hobbywing. One plugged to steering on channel 1 with the red wire removed. The other just plugged up to the the driving on channel 2(they wired both motors together already) No mixing required just make sure to calibrate it for max reverse force and shes good to go. The holes on bottom i just e6000d some screws there

So they have them marked wrong? Thats so odd.

Wonder how the support is for this product. If you strip the transmission, then what..
@DixielandRC8 ай бұрын
Yep. I get it. Mine hasnt been driven since this. If that tells you anything.

The instructions seem very minimal. How to set the truck up and maintain it (belt tension?), make it amphibious, etc are all important details. The electronics box looks big enough for the ESC's but where to put the battery? Is there a false floor in the load area? I think the harness for the battery should be supplied with the "kit" as it is not really a readily available part. Were the LED's included because the images showed lights?

They are very minimal for sure. I plan to put the battery in the area with the esc's I think. No LED's included.

@@DixielandRC I was waiting since November and almost pre-ordered one myself but couldn't get one with a realistic shipping cost. It looks great but not quite as I was expecting. I was hoping to build it from the ground up.

1 esc will power the drive motor, 1 will control the steering motors.

Talk to Joe exocage, he built his with 4 hobbywing fusions. Pretty sweet.

I have. The plan is one esc for the drive motor and one esc for the steering motors.

That one is made by CustomRC and this one is by KingKongRC and the set-up is quite a bit different.

I just checked out that link. It links to what you bought but check out the other stuff. Tamiya kits for example. Pricing isn’t rite. Somthing pfishy.

Try it again. I changed it.
@clayton84652 жыл бұрын
That’s better. Pricing all seems accurate. Don’t know how you did that but. It looks good now.

The Sherp is built in Ukraine.
@BlackSeaRC Жыл бұрын
True, there was a factory in Ukraine and another in Russia.

I wish King Kong RC would make a "premium" version of this kit, with better components that are more in-line with the level of quality their other trucks look like (all metal or mostly metal), so I'd say slightly thicker shafts, aluminum wheels and not plastic, entire motor/transmission assemblies metal not plastic etc..
