Remove the vent. Paint the wall. Paint the vent off the wall, then re-install. Same with the duplex outlet. Unscrew it and pull it clear of the wall, tape it. Paint the wall, then re-install. If you can find a 'for plastics' spray paint that comes close to your wall color, you can spray paint the outlet - several light coats - and the outlet cover. Do not use Latex Paint and a roller!

I love how the wall turned out! I vote for black cabinets, black always makes things look smaller and with your kitchen being small the cabinets looking smaller will make it seem like your kitchen is a little bigger. Plus it goes with your front door.... either color though will look so good!

Pro tip, use frog tape and caulk the edge of the tape before painting, pull the tape before the caulk sets up. Nice crisp line.

I’m totally team olive green - it’s stunning! Also, black, though also lovely, tends to absorb light so it might make the kitchen feel very dark and small (speaking from experience).

Olive would be beautiful, bring the two rooms together and be a nice pop of color, but the accent wall has a green hue to it. So I think black would break up the color and balance it out. Either way, I know the end result will be gorgeous 😍

Also, have you ever considered changing your outlets to black? Not just the covers but the actual plugs. I changed mine this summer and it was very inexpensive (like $2 a plug) and super easy to do.

Hi Jenna! I vote for black cupboards down and the white ones up. That green is GORGEOUS!!!!. Green is a tricky colour for a room, especially some of its shades. I know people who are big camouflage green fans and...well they ended with vomit on their walls. Sometimes what we love hurts us. Haha But you chose wisely as the Knight from The Last Crusader said. The wall looks great. Though I thought you gonna leave the boards light. Idk why. I liked the...juxtaposition was the word I think. But I like it painted, too. I would have left them light, maybe that's why I wanted to see it. Still, awesome result! Excellent job! You are my hero!

"A little tiny piece of trimming up there' is called crown molding. However. if you border the base and sides with a simple flat base molding or similar, you can run a strip across the top and have a nice straight line all around.

You can tape the cealing and after that you can use some acrylic caulk to seal the edge. This way you get crisp edges. Just a tip.. works like a charm. For the next time 😉

I just used a hand saw and a mitre box! Definitely recommend! I kept all the angles 45 degrees which made it very easy overall! 😊
