You did it all for $20 even with the paint? Or did I read it wrong? But I swear it said $20 bathroom, just curious ☺️😊👍👍
@karrielynn5 жыл бұрын
@@abbieadle9061 the 20 bathroom makeover was targeted to the decor because thats allI had to pay for to re do this bathroom the pain is optional. I had some left over from another project but the $50 bathroom makeover I include paint cost 😉 its the one linked right above.

beautiful. I wish I had learned to live on a budget when I was young. Stay true to your budget you will be a much happier family. Just a little unsolicited advice, always sit down and do the budgeting together. Plan personal and family wants. Always tell each other thank you for any little help with a chore or honey-do list. Your marriage will last forever with thank yous and I love you said every day. I am going on 40 years of marriage. God bless you, keep up that beautiful talent it will take you a long way.
@notanoshow5 жыл бұрын
Good advice Karen! I too have been married almost 40 years and I would give anything for money that we blew on silly things....didn't amount to anything....life goes by so fast and having a budget and a good head on your shoulders, being creative, it all pays off in the end! Enjoy each day and always be thankful! ;)

Great advice! Me & my boyfriend of 3 years will be moving out of my parents house and into our own apartment very soon because he just got an amazing job offer where we can afford to live on our own now and I thought about looking at apartments that were more expensive and a 2 bedroom bc they were just so nice and I feel like the new job offer kinda got us going ooooooo we got money now. But we took a step back and said you know what we can get one that’s a nice 1 bedroom & save more money and we are in our early 20’s and it’s just the 2 of us right now so it’s not like we really need another bedroom. Definitely would rather put that extra money into savings! Save up now and down the road possibly look for a house instead! 😊

@@Kayyvr I would stay there two more years and move into foreclosed home or look into tax sale homes. That may fit your budget

You did a fantastic job. You can hear in your voice, how happy you are with results. Growing up my mother did the same thing. I can't tell you how many hours I spent with her in thrift stores. Then afterwards, my brother and me running in the house after school, stopping dead in our tracks going,,, Wow!!! Mom had worked her magic and turn our place into something beautiful and special. You have done the same thing. For that, I'm grateful and so happy for you. For the record, there isn't a freakin thing wrong with living in a mobile home. I've lived in a few myself. On top of that,,, I found out I could live in a cave with a little wallpaper and the bears gone. [grinning] Let me know if you get your screw/drill. if not I'll send you one.

You did a great job! We live in a double wide mobile home. We have plans to start remodeling, but we are on a pretty tight budget so it is going to take a while. We have started with our daughter's room. She will be 13 in October, so we are doing her room first as a birthday gift. My husband did drywall as a living for about 19 years and he still does it on the side (he is a part time art teacher while he is finishing college). So, we are planning on putting drywall throughout the house. It is a little costly, but we have panel type walls in our house, we've tried painting them but no matter what, it scratches off so easily (even after 2 coats of primer). Our mobile home is almost 19 years old, so it needs a lot of work, but we don't have a house payment so we'd rather fix it up than move somewhere else. Thank you for the inspiration!
@starbeck965 жыл бұрын
@annieJane nerib no it is not wood paneling. For a lack of a better description, I call it sheetrock look-a-like paneling..lol. It is just very difficult to paint. My sister lives in a mobile home as well, and is having the same trouble with the same type of walls.

Satin paint is beautiful!!!! It applies easily. 15 yrs ago I had our master bedroom and bath painted in a satin paint. Colour: Cotton Candy Pink. I also had painter to wallpaper 1 wall in our bedroom. It was absolutely beautiful. The bedding ensemble was white and pink. A few men (relatives) asked my husband why in the world would you "let" her choose pink. My husband told them he didn't care what color pallet I chose. All he concerned himself with was how comfy, yet firm, our mattress was. Lol. Neat and clean, as always. If I may, should anyone use wallpaper, always buy pre pasted, well made wallpaper. If possible, spend the extra money for higher end wallpaper. (I understand people must stay within budget. ) When I redecorated, the wallpaper came off easy with a light spray from Lowes Home Improvement and the round, bumpy disc. Now I'm considering having wallpaper placed back on the same wall again!!! The decor is a light French Country Blue with very soft whites. Young lady, you are a 'go getter' and you are doing well. Love watching your transformations.

Jess birmingham honestly, the dollar tree has a lot of junk too. It takes a keen and creative eye to think of flipping the plant hangers to use them as shelf brackets etc. There are other videos on KZbin where people upcycle things from Dollar Tree, IKEA and yard sales for lots of inspiration. ;)
