Yep cant get mine off, this cuts the part showing how you removed yours. Cant strike from the back with the hammer without bending the heck out of the drum and hitting the studs does nothing to loosen

After removing bolts thru access, bang on edge off flange with mallet

@@Simmonsracing187 i ended up banging it out from the back and straightening the plate back out but removed the parking brake shoe and components since it hasnt worked ever since i bought it anyway 🤷♂️ appreciate you though. Took a hundred mile drive on it last night to test the new bearing. In good shape now 👍

You can get it off with plenty of WD-40 slide hammer from AutoZone or buy one from harbor freight

Thanks for this vid! It looks almost east enough for my two left hands to fix. I just got a 2000 impala w only 78k miles and after a few months I’m hearing a grinding from rear wheel. Is it common for impala wheel bearings to fail?
@Simmonsracing187 Жыл бұрын
Yes especially at that mileage, also double check the rotor isn't making a noise, jack car up and see if you can wiggle wheel in and out

@@Simmonsracing187 Hey thanks for the tip! My coworker suggested that same idea. You can feel it in the seat, time to change it out
