Make your lives easier and just remove the grill. You don't need to pry the clips with the screwdriver.. just pull out with a little force and it will come right out.

I didn't read all the comments but you can save alot of time by not removing the top plastic piece and grill. You can easily get the headlight out with a 10mm socket and a long extension. Not sure why everyone says take off the top part and grill??

Just installed my kit on my 2013 Ram 1500 with projectors, not a hard install, took me 2 hrs. Lights are bright. Also the low beam no longer cancels when high beam is turned on, both low and high are on when I click to high beam, so I have lots of light now.

I have seen some pictures of the ballast mounted inside the headlight behind the cover, are there any cons to doing it that way?

Very clear instructions, great video. have you had any issues with melting or radio interference? seems like most of the hid kits i install interrupt the radio signal when they are powered on. any thoughts?

Have you ever had any issues with them melting the housing? I have a 2014 Ram and every vehicle I've owned I had HIDS in them, someone told me that the housing on the Ram will melt with HIDS or LED?

You're prying on those clips wrong. You need to get under the cover and then pry and it comes right off. You can actually just grab the cover and pull it.

Hello, if you have a 2012 model that has the Quad style headlights, you can purchase our 2013-2014 Ram HID system and select "Reflector Style Headlights" and it is compatible with the 2012 models. However if you have the "Dual" Style headlights, we currently do not have a kit that is compatible with those headlights.

+SlimPeas23 This kit will work on all 2009 to 2014 Rams if you have the Quad headlights with an H11 low beam bulb. Or the 9012 Projector headlights. Just select which headlights you have on the website. The kit has all the necessary electronics integrated for proper function. However the kit is not compatible with any of the "dual headlight" H13 models.

+Gnoob The 2013+ Rams with factory projector housings actually have 2 high beam functions. The factory projectors are dual-beam projectors. There is shutter inside the projector which folds down to give you a high beam pattern from the projectors. When you install the HID system, this function is not compromised so you do get HID low beam and HID high beam function. However the 2013+ Rams also have a dedicated 9005 high beam bulb which is located adjacent to the projector inside the headlight housing. We do have an HID system available for this 9005 high beam bulb as well. Installation process is basically the same, you just need to drill a 2nd hole in the cap to allow the HID bulb harness to fit through.

Where did you get the kit from? The 2013 and 2014 Rams require a canbus compatible ballast or the lights will flicker or shut off.

How hot/warm does the ballast get? if at all.

The ballasts will get warm after being on for a while. If the ambient temperature is 70 degrees F, the ballasts can warm up to 120-130F which is normal.

+Aron Harper Low beams: 2013-15 Rams with projector headlights are 9012 bulbs 2013-2014 Rams with reflector headlights are H11 bulbs 2016 rams are 9005 All Rams 2013-2016 use 9005 high beam.

There are many many different HID kits on the market. Without seeing the kit you have in person I can't really advise what is needed or not needed. All I can say is that the kits we have do not require a relay for the quad headlight models. But other kits might, depending on how they are designed.
