DIY 2013 2014 2015 Honda Accord Coupe & Sedan HFP side skirt installation

I installed a aero kit like this on Camaro a few years back and wish I had a walkthrough like this because it took me forever on my own. Just bought and Accord and appreciate your detailed step by step instructions. Forget paying 500 at the dealer I'm going to install it myself now. Keep up the good work!

Getting it aligned front to back. The drivers side ended up being a tad off, only can tell though.

Excellent video! i just installed the hfp kit on my car...however, slight suggestion is that the rubber seal that slides inside the taped on slider frame will need to be banged into place (by hand only and slightly hit). This way it will slide into place when installing.

You can always buy the color matching HFP kit and then just plasti dip them to any color you want. This way you can try different colors and always have the option to go back to stock without doing any damage. I detail my car with Pinnacle rinseless wash -> blackfire polish and seal -> blackfire crystal seal (x2) and then a coat of carnauba wax.

You can use something like photoshop or glimps and change the color and see how it looks. All you would need is a picture of the car with the hfp installed. You can find them on google image. I prefer the same color but I would think the panda theme would be best.. white/black.

good job looks nice... what do you think of a two tone kit? for example i may purchase white or black coupe and use black or white or red hfp kit? do you think it would look ok? 2014 not out yet here in culver city area... will trade in my 09 silver coupe... wish i could find somewhere online a program that allows me to see the out come first... best wishes, c

thanks for your thoughts/input... i will check it out... yes, the panda look could be cool... white body black trim or black body white trim... i did see a pearl white at the dealer and think the paint will be hard to touch up... (just in case i get a scratch) what do you think of the Blue/Purple color? for me, its a little too hard to get used to....also your car is so shiny :+) what did u put on it? clear coat? thanks for your time and your vids are awesome :)

The rear splash guard is held on by the screws. Very easy to remove. It will be easier if you remove the wheel first.

What was the hole purpose of making a mark next to the back tires of the car? Was it just to use as a guide as to where to remove the sealant? I think I may have removed too much from top to bottom. If I don't paint it will it rust?

Yes, it was just to mark where to remove the sealant on the back side. I would just buy some touch up paint or nail polish and touch it up.

+ego1973 I purchased the kit from my local dealership. I had them pricematch the lowest price. After taxes, it came out to be around $1,200 for the front side and rear and $300+ for the rear deck spoiler.

hi Jephu, may i ask you how long in minutes or hours did this take you to install the side skirts? also how long did it take you for the front and rear kit? my dealer wants 120 hour to do this and he says 5 hours! or 600 dollar... wish i could pay you instead... lol

it took me an about an hour each for the whole front side and rear so total of about 3 hours. Now, if I did not have to stop every few minutes to adjust the camera and explain how to do it.. I probably could have done this whole project in less than 2 hours. Now that I've installed one before, and if I had a lift like the dealer, I can probably do it in less than 90 minutes for the complete kit. My suggestion to you would be to shop around for installation prices at the dealerships. Go to estore.honda.com and click on accessories and it will list the installation prices for different dealerships around your area. I was able for find a dealer for $280 and another for $300 for the install. Also, Having this lip kit installed at the dealership will give you the same warranty as the rest of your car.. 3 years 36,000 miles. If you install it yourself.. the part is only covered for 12 months.
