Crazy to think that one quart of Mobil1 5W 20 synthetic at my local Wal Mart is $8.78, and a five quart jug is $26.97! Great video, short and to the point! Thanks

Crazy huh? Those 5qt huge are such a good deal. They had the rebate back in the spring this year, but didn't have one this fall.

My 07 seems to take about 7.5 qts for it to read full, but the oil pans are different from the '07 (aluminum pan) to the later models with the plastic oil pan. As far as troubles, well this one was pretty reliable, the extra repairs were starter, alternator, rear diff pinion seal, front diff bushings, TIPM (totally integrated power module) and AC evaporator. Now needs a radiator. I don't consider that bad for a 15+ year old car with 120,000 miles on it.

Some of these are getting to the age where they need a few things, like any car of this age would. People trade them in, new owners buy them and then immediately wonder why they're having issues. I instantly address any issue I've had and keep up with the maintenance and I've been very pleased with my Jeep ownership so far.

@@ExoticCarDIY If you’ve got a good 5.7 that doesn’t have cam or lifter problems hang on to it, they are hard to find on the newer WK-2 series and there is a BIG difference between the 3.6 and the 5.7. No replacement for displacement!

@@Luigi-pk8mk if you know one thing I found very interesting, I raced my 2,011 with the 5-speed against my friends 2018 with the 8-speed Mine beat his by about a car length in half. However his seems to average about three miles per gallon more

@@ExoticCarDIY I test drove a 2020 Overland w/ the 5.7 & the ZF design 8 speed. It felt slow off the line compared to my old 5.7 with the Chrysler 5 spd auto. It has 30 more hp so it SHOULD be faster but it maybe programmed for better fuel economy. I was underwhelmed by the 2020!

Hello, I'm looking to buy that same grand cherokee but I see real bad reviews as to reliability,(electrical gremlins, and such) what has been your experience?
@ExoticCarDIY2 жыл бұрын
Consider you are buying a 8-11 yr old car, why brand car that age with have a few issues as expected. Common issues are hemi exhaust manifolds and water pump, air suspension etc... And to be honest, none of that scares me or even bothers me. Cheap and easy. The one issues I don't like is the stalling issue.(which is what I think the review sites mean by electrical Gremlins) There common blame is the fuel pump relay, which has been recalled 2or3 times. I've been on a yr long waiting list to get the "fix" fixed again. But to tell you the truth, I don't think it's the relay. It's intermittent, happens on my Jeep during moderate braking and turning left. A very specific scenario, too specific to be a simple relay failure imo. I'm currently determined to figure this out, and will report a fix when I get it.

04892339AB also labeled at the mo-339 Both the mo899 and the mo339 will work, the mo339 is smaller filter. Apparently there is a extra coolant hose on the newer ones that slightly interferes with the larger 899
