I stumbled across this video while looking for creative ways to mount a slim ps4. This is absolutely brilliant in its simplicity. At first, it looks like this guy is just having a joke at it, as he is clearly not a professional. Just mounting the plates wherever on the wall, and eyeballing it for level. But…when you look at what is on offer out there for mounting solutions and what they cost compared to what he is using, it is astounding that there aren’t more of these videos out there. I went a little further and used even smaller brackets to mount my ps4 using things I already had in the house. Thank you sir, for dumbing it down for me and making me realise that it doesn’t have to be complicated to be a great solution. I hope more people see this video and send you thanks Also - super cute that you didn't shut the TV off, and just let your kids watch TV throughout

Find 4 ikea L brackets, bend them around the four corners and then using drywall anchors and screws that will fit it and you have what should be a free wall mount for most. That's assuming most house holds have this stuff some place in their homes.

Thanks for the help. I was looking for some concepts for how to do this for an xbox one that i intend to mount on the wall for a nursing home resident. He is younger than the average nursing home resident and likes to watch videos and play games. The general idea should work for my application as well.

instead of mounting the ps4 which maybe will deacrease its life span you can mount like a a small wooden table to hold it small enough to fit on the wall

@@MelissaAndAlex I tell myself that every DIY home project. So much soo, my grips that I bought, for some reason didnt wrap over the ps4. So i just had the underneath part then the 2 top spots I put this super double sided adhesive pads from my go pro box over the 2 spots . Pushed my ps4 up against the pads. Boom . Holding together like a champ 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️😂🤣

Great idea! I was looking for a cheap way to mount my console. I may try adding some padding (like the soft side of a Velcro set) to eliminate the friction between plastic and metal. Thanks again.

drywall screws are for attaching drywall to studs. you need drywall anchors to attach a bracket to drywall

Genuine question not fing around.. would i run into the risk of the ps4 falling if i do this by any chance.? Im planning on doing this to my slim since i just bought a projector & i wanna mount the projector on the ceiling. Meaning if i mount it there i would need to mount my ps4 on the wall so that the cables arent in the way. So yeah i guess my question is could i end up running in a situatiok where it can fall from the wall..? Like i know it slides in but per say if someone trys to pull it straight out without sliding it off, couldnt it get dammaged, or if someone hits the wall lets say about 5-20 inches away from where i place the ps4 could it fall.? I just wanna make sure since i dont wanna run a risk like that. Ps4 might not be as expensive now adays but it cost me actual work to get that money to buy the ps4 (it wasnt new either jaja :c.) but yeah im just trying to make sure its not a thing where itll end up falling with whatever slight amount of idk how you say it. If anyone can translate spanish what im trying to get to is que no quiero que se vaya terminar callendo por cualquier babosada ya que si me costo dinero, puede y que no mucho pero me costo dinero por el que yo trabaje tanto y solamente no quiero que cualquier pujonsio o temblor o algo oueda hacer que se caiga my play 4

i went to home depot and to get just one of those L angle mount, 7.52 ea + tax. good joke would cost like 17 bucks just for the 2 mounts might as well buy a real mount.

I just got 3 of those brackets they were like $2 each and I got 2 small brackets for the controllers those were like .96 each. You might have looked at the wrong size.
