List of take home for peeps copying this video: 1.Spacers are crucial, keeps the system strong, but also separates the cells in case of casing failure. 2. Polyamide tape (Kapton) across the rails before insulating the entire layer with strong layer of insulator. If the insulator fails the tape will be a last line of defence against up to 1000amps shorting through your battery, remember a lithium cell has more energy density than TNT and will go off with a BANG. 3. BMS; DO NOT SKIP THE BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. Don't cheap out either, it will determine your battery longevity, performance, and safety. 4. A strong ideally watertight casing is very nice to have, especially if you intend to use it where it might rain or get wet. It won't survive being submerged in a lake, but some rain or just washing your vehicle with a hose should keep it alive. Glued together heat shrink sheets is perfect 5. Something not mentioned here but calculate your current draw and work it out across the cells in parallel to get the per cell current. Make sure your nickel strips can handle this current safely, if not get thicker strips, or wider, or spot weld on extra strips. BONUS: I feel like I shouldn’t have to say this, but you can't substitute spot welding for soldering, you may pop the cell and get very bad burns. Solder to tabs, not to a strip directly on the cell for the same reason. Solder and Heat shrink ALL wire terminations or joins. Safety is not optional, please be informed so you can be safe
Great job using lifepo4 instead of li-ion.Much more lifecycles.This weight more then 35 kg on pure battery. Lifepo4 32650/700 weights 141-143grams each x 240 pcs lol

what's the difference between Enhance and Balance version for bms ? thank you
@DrNumanG Жыл бұрын
Enhanced BMS is regular BMS that doesnt support balanced charging and discharging each CELL, since its cheap. Balanced Ones (has more chipsets and mosfets to balance) are the greatest ones has to be used fot lithium battey technologies. Balanced BMS is capable of current and voltage control on each CELL so it will prevent further damage to each cell.

What I have seen 500wh gives you 100 miles. Thats averaging speeds of 14.5mph. Thats on a efficient motor and a central driven motor.
@soundsofnature70153 жыл бұрын
@@alvinesparza5141 Your math is terrible or you believe all the Alibaba hype. If 500wh gets you 100 miles at 14.5mph thats 7 hours of riding using only 70 watts an hour. An average cyclist can produce over 250wh by pedaling himself with no help. Do you think a 70 watt motor is really going to do much lmao. If you are average size and you are on flat ground expect 25wh per mile best case scenario. 15wh per mile if you pedal the whole mile. so 15 to 20 miles or up to 30ish miles if you pedal hard the whole time. The battery in this video could realistically without pedals on mostly flat, paved roads get you 80 to 100 miles. Go up a few big hills and you can almost cut that in half or worse. Could do better with pedals but trying to pedal a bike that will end up weighing 150lbs is quite a chore and most bikes that have 3000+ watt motors dont have pedals.

Hi hello sir, may I allow to ask a question and please help reply with your expertise on ebike battery. Yesterday when I was paddle my ebike at home with the parking stand mount on the floor, for testing the ebike speed, then suddenly my mother was talking to me, instead of I need to press the hand brake to stop the spining ebike, I turned off the ignition key, THEN I heard a "pop" sound (the motorhub was still in high speed spinning) I don't know the "pop" sound was came from the battery or came from the controller. Sir, may I ask in most of the cases, let say, if a person paddle the ebike halfway through, when the battery still on going supplying the energy into the controller, and the controller still on going supplying the power into the motorhub, and the motorhub still drawing power spinning at fast speed, then he turn off the ignition key OUT OF SUDDEN to cut off the ON GOING power supply intake from the battery, in this case what will happen to my battery? Sir, please help me, then I unpluged the ebike power plug from the battery, then I turn on the key ignition to purposely release the electric in the controller, then I plug the ebike power plug into the battery and heard a as usual spark sound. My concern now is, how do I know I already wound, injury, or damage my battery or not sir. Hope you understand my question, trillion thanks if you would please reply sir.
