I have weak nails and I just started doing this a few weeks ago and it works really well! I tried the traditional dip method first and didn't like it at all. Plus this way I'm still using all my gel colors rather than starting over buying all new dip powder stuff.

Little tip u shouldn’t use oil before gel polishes because gel likes something to stick to so u should always use it after it’s all cured it prevents lifting :) love ur video❤️

Tip for you: use liquid latex (or latex free wraps) instead of spending all that time cleaning your skin around your nails. You just peel it off after you’ve done your nails.

Just gotta be careful to buy a good brand. Some cause skin soreness and swelling and interact in a negative way if they accidentally come in contact with other products.

To really set them so you aren’t left with lots of loose residual powder when filing (a brush won’t remove that) use activator over the last layer after curing, be carful with activator - some are irritants to eyes, so you may need to shop around.

I’ve watched most of your videos of how you use the clear gel base coat and the “regular” acrylic powder to do a set of acrylic nails and now I see on another video you’re making your own colors which is awesome! But what is your thought on using a colored gel polish color instead of a clear base coat? Like maybe use a clear for the original first base and then use the color and clear acrylic on top and repeat... do you think that would work? I’d love to see a video of you trying that and experimenting!

How do you keep the dip from from accumulating on the brush and then into the bottle? I noticed that you don't clean the brush between layers. Doesn't the dip accumulate on the brush and then into the liquid? I have used Melody Suzie, Moldones and Lavendar Violets gel polish. Each layer seems to be grittier and I cannot get it out of the brush. I am doing fine once I get passed that part.

I'm using gel polish not resin or brush on glue so once it cures in the lamp it's hard all the way... When u use a resin it's hard only on the layers close to the gel. Then the top layer is powdery and gets stuck in the brush... So basically... try to do the dip method using basecoat gel instead of resin or glue... see if that helps... I still use this method today and the nails stay on for weeks

For a fill I would do just 1 to 2 layers. When I do a full set like this then I would do 2 to 3 layers. That just depends on how thick you like your nails. I need mine nice and thick bc I workout in the gym and do not want them popping off on the gym floor LOL

tfs great idea. is anyone else music get so loud and then when she talks it's so much lower so u hav to mess with the volume button every time music goes on n off?
