@MixitupMarci4 жыл бұрын
Sara Floyd I use watercolor brushes because they hold paint better, but mine are cheap ones because I used thicker paint, I did bot want to ruin the good ones hehehe just use brushes with softer bristles with your paint, and your brush marks will not be as noticeable or be there at all. Hope that helps! ☺️

It's so beautiful 😊 Does the clay not stick to the bowls while drying?
@MixitupMarci11 ай бұрын
It shrinks a tiny bit, so it doesnt stick, plus you can add baking paper n then if that leaves any marks just sand it down 😉
@BAMSNotesSimplified_Medical11 ай бұрын
Ohhkk. That helps a lot 🙏😊 Also, is there something that can be applied to the bowl itself, instead of baking paper, so that the clay doesn't stick? My problem is, sometimes we have to shape the clay using the outside of the bowl and not inside. That sticks to the bowl n doesn't come off no matter whatt 😀. Hence the question. Thank you so much for your time dear 🙏😊 your work is awesome 👍😊

@MixitupMarci4 жыл бұрын
Yes and yes, make sure it is not in direct sunlight and also it will take time depending on temperature and flip it from time to time to allow water within the clay to evaporate, dont rush it, hair dryers will make it crack, just let it be, air dry clay takes time to dry, the best brand i have tried so far is DAS clay, and you can get it on amazon, at least where i am. hope that helps. have a great day! =)

@MixitupMarci4 жыл бұрын
Surbhi Shah it is not water friendly no, if you wet it a lot it will start to peel off and damage the piece, so maybe you can use a stronger sealer, i used a spray one for my plant pots have eyes video and so far is working great, but it does not get wet a lot, maybe like a boat type of paint?? And as far as drying times, i let mine sit for like 3 days and its summer here, dont try to dry then yourself because it will crack if it dryes too quick, and dont put it under direct sunlight cause the same will happen. Just let them be for about 3 days and flip them mid way the drying process. Hope that helped! Have a great day and have fun with your creations! 😊

Cracking is becoming an issue where I didn’t have problems with my larger plant pot containers that used plastic container armatures, too. Am I getting them too wet when trying to smooth them?
