Idk if this'll Help anyone but when you're rolling out your clay & want to Assure you're rolling the entire piece the same thickness try stacking popsicle sticks. Place them (3/4 high) on opposite sides and stack them to the height you want to roll. Making Sure to Allow roller to roll atop them. U can move them as you roll to Assure proper thickness is achieved throughout the entire piece. U can add or take away your sticks for desired thickness. HTH

Quick tip: Air dry clay sticks very well to already dried clay. So, you can wait for the lid to dry before attaching the trinket (fox) on top. It will also give you the opportunity to spend some time attaching it neatly without worry about damaging the lid. Thank you for your videos!

What a lovely project! A few years ago I took pottery classes and fell in love with hand-building little pots like this. I'd given it up because of the irregular firing schedule and having to drive half an hour back and forth to see if my pieces had been fired yet. And then again to see if they'd been fired after glazing. So frustrating. This seems like it will allow me to get back to doing something I've been missing a lot. Thank you!!

My Word ... ❤️ Supurb details and detailing!! These are absolutely Adorable. Could be tricky setting the rim inside the lid to fit pot .. (it will come in time) so I'll hold off for now, until I have more experience under my belt! Cutting 45° angle and always reinforce any gaps.. plus patience is Key! Great Journaling 👍 I have been cutting a thicker felt and gluing to the bottom of my projects so far (after painting) to keep from scratching any surfaces.
