DIY anime keychain from scratch, without resin

A detailed tutorial of how to make a charm-keychain from scratch.
Art used: Chibi Ada fanart by me. Character is Ada Vessalius of Pandora Hearts by Jun Mochizuki.
Items used:
Inkjet photo paper (A4 sized)
Injket printer
Laquer: Transparent spray paint
Plastic sheets(ripped off of packaging)
Scissors
Foam base(can use eraser instead) and board pin
Hot glue gun
Instant super glue
Hair straightener (optional)
Key chain for charm making.
(in case you were wondering: I got the straightener free with shampoo)

Yes, you may use anything with a flat,hard surface, like the bottom of a flat bottom glass. You can also use a metal surface,but it won't let you see the extent of flattening of the glue.

Hello,sorry about the late reply, I completely missed it.. If you're asking about the laquer/spray,it says so on the bottle,but frankly,it won't matter. I used it because that's what's cheapest where I live And if it's about the plastic, then nowhere, it's ripped from packaging,so it's just any clear stiff thin plastic I'm sorry of I missed anything,if you have any other questions feel free to ask,hope this helps!

Hello! May I ask if laser printer is compatible?

It should be! I only have a black and white laser printer and it works,but I don't have a coloured laser printer so I can't confirm. Still,if the paper isn't very glossy (like the laminated photo paper of inkjet portable printers), it should work just fine. You can print out a small picture and spray it with the laquer,if the ink doesn't get smudged, it'll be fine. Hope this helps,and feel free to ask if you encounter any other problem!

do you know what type plastic you used (the plastic sheets)?

I used plastic from stationery packaging,but if you can get thick OHP sheets they should work too. Anything thick enough to hold its own shape on holding upright will do.

You can buy thick OHP sheets, usually available at stationery shops

Is it hard like a plastic like after putting in the oven or u can bend it?

It can be bended to some extent,how much will depend on the thickness of the hot glue layer and the hardness of the clear plastic used. It won't be as hard as plastic becomes after putting in an oven though. I hope this answers your question. If it's not clear please let me know!

I guess you can use transparent liquid varnish instead. But the coating is important,so I do recommend using transparent spray paint or spray varnish.

Technically you can,but that option isn't available everywhere, at least where I live, and it would require mechanical help,so this is a diy alternative, you can say!

@@myriad_interests Laminators are about 20 bucks, you don't have them where you are? Maybe it'll turn out similar if I laminate them.

@@MoulderingMortal it varies internationally,I live in India. 20 USD would be ablout 1400 INR,which is ..kinda a lot in our economy. As far as I know laminators would be around 100 INR here, but no they're not available in every neighborhood, perhaps it's there in my college's locality,but not near my house. I believe the budget per keychain I've made is around 30 INR But if it works out for you,then I'd say go for it!
