Thanks for the tip bob. I’m excited to see the 2gr content coming

That's really great. I was keen to do a 2GR swap but for a street car, I decided that the last gen 3S-GTE like you have used was the way to go, just to preserve a few near original examples of the car. It's good to see more from you.

Thanks for the video Bob. Assuming this is all just as straightforward/same process with the 3S?

i bled the coolant in my 91 5sfe using your instruction and others so thank you. but when i was letting the car run for less than 5 minutes the coolant boiled and overflowed the funnel. not air bubbles actual boiling due to heat. the car temp gauge never goes above 50% and i turned the car off and it continued to boil for a few minutes. it happens every time same way even without the funnel on i can hear and feel the coolant boiling in the reservoir. this is way before the mr2 radiator fans turn on. car has not been driven in decades any ideas?

When it bubble like that. Let the water settle. Then start the car again. It will bubble violently then turn off. Let settle. Keep doing it couple times. Gotta do it a few times before it will smooth out. If it keep doing it then do a pressure test on the coolant system to see if there’s a leak.

@@BobPham its boiling. i think the thermostat is stuck closed or the water pump is dead.
