Wow, great video, thank so much. It's important to note that these switches aren't a flawed design, the issue is how people use them - trying to turn the switch when the steering wheel is "loaded up" - from shutting the vehicle off previously without allowing the front wheels to "settle in". So always pull the wheel one way or the other before starting to make sure there isn't undue stress on the switch.

Fantastical job. Put a new battery and a new starter and it still wasn't turning over. Did your test and I got 11.9 bolts on the starter wire, didn't quite turn it over and then I did it again and only got 6. I had 12 volts going up to the starter so I'm gonna pull the switch.

replaced ignition switch and air bag light stays on for about 1min with key taken out any help

Can this switch beaing bad lead to failing high beams and indicators not working?? Also i replaced my LCM and tested another indicator switch and nothing worked, i also have 3 yellow break lights in the dash(Traction controll, ABS and break light) plz help

BMW e39 530D 2002 142kW manual Hello, I have the problem with the electronics in my car. What happened: - In the morning I come to the car and open with the key - Central works - I put the key in the ignition and turned it to the first position - The lights were charged and I warmed up and when I turned the key to other positions, nothing happened. - On the next try, the lights did not turn on and the central locking did not work - The fuses in the trunk are fine - The fuse holders in the passenger compartment are OK - The engine fuses are OK - The battery has 12V - I have restarted the GM module - Turn signal, radio, windscreen wiper and parking light = are functional - Others are dead Do you know what it could be? Many Thanks
