This is a good question, the only time this happened to me was when I reset it before and it was already done, then I tried to do it again for a video and it said reset unavailable. Look at the dash and see if the spark plug has a negative symbol or no symbol before the number of miles until next change. If it has a negative symbol then it needs to be reset, if no negative symbol then probably has been reset already.

Thanks for the help, did u get the break fluid check done I'm at my 32k mile service due n I got my oil changed a while back like a year but haven't even reached the three thousand interval, so the service due is having me re do it at this mileage and the brake fluid check came on and emissions

@ King Kong If you never open the brake system it won't absorb water and the castor oil should last 10 to 15 years. Oh, and don't splash puddles or drive in rivers or hurricanes. And heat up your brakes if you do. How do you heat brakes? Fogettaboutit. Go to dealer. Write out check for all your money minus a casket. Heat has a tendency to disspell H2O. Drive away. No water in hydraulic oil , hopefully no corrosion on 20 pt. Steel brake pucks. Or alloy Bimboos. Please resume racing on California public freeways that signs say are not Speedways. And watch your speed. Chinese ephedra- not the same thing.

Hello, The problem might be a loose connection under the seat? My old cadillac, had a bad connection for the airbag under the drivers seat and a drivers air bag error light would come on. I would then reach under the seat wiggle the wires and the error light would go away. Try to look under the drivers seat for low wires and wiggle and see if anything happens.?

@ PG M When you figure it out. Please let me know. Mine was all gauge. Then I did something. And Range shows up where gas gauge ALWAYS USE TO BE. I Like knowing what car computer's idea of range is. It uses some iteration of gas gauge and recent consumption figures Have to be on freeway about 5 to 10 minutes before Range goes up at all. Codes probably in Basic? Anybody know? Paul Allen? hi great video... I have a question... when I push the button on the left I get the first screen up on the odometer side with the system check etc... but when I hold it in to reset something... the other screen never comes up on the right side of the other odometer...? is that normal.... so I cant reset anything withour seeing the otherside...? am I don't something wrong...? also my car symbol is RED and it turned Yellow... then went right back to Red... car wont start just makes a click sound then nothing... not sure whats going on with it... I ran a scanner on it and the DME has an X by it...

I have a friend who owns the 750Li, He went to get the motor for his wipers fixed at a shop. After they put the motor in, somehow the computer for the BMW burned out. He bought a new computer and put it in the car. He says it needs to be reset and that it will not run without being reset??? Can it be reset that why in the video or would you have to take it to a BMW center? *PLEASE RESPOND*

When I look at my menu it's on the hidden menu which starts out with Inspection, System Test etc. That's the only menu I get when I tap the start and hold down the odomoter for 10 seconds. Susan Thomas Hello Susan, I believe it might be your brake pad sensor? did you replace the brake pad sensor when you replaced your brake pads? When I did my rear brakes, I actually broke my sensor and my light has been on ever since, I ordered a new sensor and need to put that in. Here's a link for the sensor you might need, if your's went bad or broke. Brake Pad Sensor: amzn.to/1NppNJO you would need to make sure you get either the Front or Rear Sensor, which ever one needs replacing, it's really easy to put in a new one, and make sure to get the 2008 sensor for your 2008 BMW. Hope this helps.

Here is one... Don't buy one... A/C blower is known to not work on Highest settings after awhile.. Valve stem seals frequently fail.... Car will still run like a champ, BUT it's going to smoke when idling. Trunk recently failed on my dads so it has to be opened with a key. Reservoir has broken... but that's nitpicking. Screen Navigation is a PITA and the worst thing none to man. Car isn't horrible... They'll run and get you to point A to B... but 9/10 you'll find one that has already had a valve stem seal failure and is smoking at idle as it eats oil.

u can fix it temporarily. remove the light which is on the roof and there u will see an actuator with a screw in the middle. rotate that screw to close the sunroof
