Thanks for sharing your video. You are the first one that i have seen that actually adds a preservative too their body shimmer. I'm also in the process of making my own and i found using a syringe was a lot easier to transfer the body shimmer mix too the body so you don't have to fight with the funnel or anything.

Just so you know if you only put a couple drops of vitamin E oil in there it's not going to do much at all, I would put at least a teaspoon. Just some friendly advice because that is how I learned a lot of stuff! Thank you for sharing and your body shimmering oil is very pretty. 💖💛🧡💚💙💜

Thanks for sharing and i’ve been sitting here laughing at the fact that people use just baby oil. You’re the only video I’ve came across that doesn’t do that, so thank you for that💜.

Thank you for sharing your recipe ! May I ask why you use a preservative ? I’m researching how to make shimmer body oil
@kajbathandbodyllc43182 жыл бұрын
Hi, you don’t need a preservative in this product. When deciding to use a preservative or not just think “does it have any water in the product, does it have any water based ingredients in it, will this product come in contact with water? Ie a scrub that sits in the shower or something that can potentially have a wet hand in it etc. Since this product is completely oil based and it is in a closed container that won’t be sitting or used in the shower, it doesn’t need a preservative. Also just a side note… When you are using preservatives and fragrances you need to always be measuring by weight. You should have a proper recipe. Just adding preservatives and fragrances without using the proper percentages of use can be very dangerous. I hope this info helps. Good luck! ❤

@@kajbathandbodyllc4318i thought the same thing preservative by weight, she didnt weigh anything at all bumblebee and me is very particular with all ingredients of her skincare. I watch her recipes alot very good she has a shimmer body which doesn't settle to the bottom of a bottle and weighs everything she adds. Check her out.

how do you measure everything? specifically how do you measure how much preservative ratio to the rest of the oils? i was going to make this without preservative but id like it to last longer for my customers. thanks!!
@understandsonder3 жыл бұрын
i researched , use thicker oils more , less vitamins bc it can cause skin sensitivity
@JessieSimilien3 жыл бұрын
And when it comes to preservative 0.3% to 1% is recommended. Too much can cause a tingling sensation
