In the video, I stated that ’you do not have to list all of the ingredients’ I WAS WRONG for saying this. It is required by law to mention all of the ingredients you use. On my website, all of the ingredients that I used are listed. Sorry for what I said before. Just because I said that doesn't mean y'all need to be disrespectful when sending me a message. I own up to the mistake of me saying it but please don't message me being disrespectful💕

Hi love, I'm from the Caribbean and I was so happy to find your channel and this video. I've actually tried the recipe a few times (both double boiler and all solid ingredients whipped together) It appears in a nice form solid state when I'm done but after a few days it's gets watery and runny. I don't know what's going on😖😭😩 Can you help me?

Hey, angels, so I've gotten this comment so many times saying that it's the law for me to list all of the ingredients that are being used in my body butter. It gets frustrating having to answer the same question over, and over. All of the ingredients that are being used in my body butter are listed on our website. In the video, I also mention the products that we used. Since I mentioned the product we use, I don't have to put it in the description below, just watch the video for the information. 💕💕 thank you to everyone who watches this video.

Hey girl I recommend that if your going to sell this that you find a better way to measure out your ingredients better like ml or oz... I say that because with eye balling what you think is a cup or half a tablespoon there is alot of room for one batch to come out oily and another very thick... As a business even a small business you want to make sure you customers are getting the best quality and using those measuring tools that you are using you are not making sure of that. Also not all cups and tablespoons are made the same. From one small business owner to the next I make sure all of my batches are as close as possible by using mL... In the beginning it may be hard to find the right recipe or put the measurements into mL but if you want your customers to be happy it is what you have to do... Also measure out how much you are putting in those containers so that all customers are getting the same amount.

Ingredients: 1 cup white Shea Butter (I used Walmart brand) 1/2 cup Coconut Oil (I used LouAna brand) 2 tablespoons Avocado Oil (I used Now brand) 3-5 drops Vitamin E Oil (I also used Jasons brand) Essential Oils (optional) Food Coloring (optional) Instructions: 1. Use a double-boiler (or just a pot with water in it and a glass bowl on top, empty) and bring water to a low boil *I suggest using glass because metal decreases heat and it takes longer to melt* 2. Add Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil to a bowl and stir occasionally until fully melted and incorporated. 3. Let mixture cool for 1-2 minutes or until mildly cool and add Vitamin E Oil. 4. Place mixture in the fridge for 30-60 minutes to chill. *I did about in between, 45 minutes in the fridge* 5. Once the mixture is done in the fridge take out to inspect (it should look white-ish, creamy color as shown in the video above @ 4:40) 6. Use a hand mixer or stand mixer (it takes less time than by hand) and mix until somewhat fluffy *I started off at low then did the high speed at the end* It should look whipped almost. Scrape sides of the bowl when needed. (I whipped it until it was very fluffy almost cream cheese/whipped cream texture, shown in the video above @ 6:20) 7. If not desired thickness, put back in the fridge for another 10-15 minutes plus additional time if needed/wanted. 8. Once you are happy with the resulting mix in scents and/or coloring. 9. Store in an airtight container. Keeps in the fridge for about 3 weeks, maybe less. Out of the fridge keeps for around 2 weeks. Enjoy! Great recipe btw

@@janjoon1739 To make a home-made double boiler, you take a pot and boil some water in it. Then place a glass bowl on top to melt all the ingredients together. The boiling water underneath heats up the bowl to melt them. I suggest thought when you start melting the ingredients on top, turn down the water so nothing burns. Maybe to a simmer :)

Hi! Just a tip. Use a glass bowl for mixing your butters. The metal from the whisk attachment causes nicks and scratches in metal mixing bowls, and those metal shavings are going right into your final product. Just be sure to get heat safe glass for melting 💕
@Chinaija
@Chinaija 3 жыл бұрын
East african 123 you may not be whipping it long enough. It fluffs up as air incorporates into it. Try whipping at a higher speed for a longer time, you’ll see the color lighten as more air gets worked in. And check your temperature as well, it’ll whip better when it’s cold/cool. Hope that helps.

It looks good enough to eat. This is actually something I might want to try myself. It looks fun and relaxing just to make it. As far as the people who keep making comments that you feel you need to respond to. After you answer the question, for example the ingredients one, just ignore all the rest. Your videos are relaxing, fun, and I love that you don’t talk continuously through the video like some of the vids on other channels.

Love your video and you have an amazing talent! Just a word of advise, it is mandatory for your customers to know what ingredients you have used in your formulation, especially if planning to sell in the EU, I know US regulations are somewhat different. Even if they know what ingredients you have used, it is impossible for them to copy your recipe without a set formula, as the consistency will not be the same. Also, to make things easier and more consistent for you when making formulations, I suggest you consider working in weight instead of cups, as volume is never consistent. When you have a set percentage formula, it's extremely easy to convert that formula's percentages to a bigger or smaller batch. I hope you find this information helpful, I am a formulator myself. I feel we need to empower, support and encourage our community. Much love and many blessings on your journey.

Hi I legally have to list every single ingredient on you label that you put in that product. If ur selling it u have to also include the weight of the product and give directions on how to apply it. But u never ever hear ur Shea butter or liquid oils because the Shea will turn grainy and when u heat them to hot u actually take all the properties out of it. N weigh every ingredient so it’s exactly the same every time. If ur selling it u should use a preservative. Vitamin E oil is not a preservative. It’s extends shelf life but doesn’t stop bacteria from growing and even though it’s oil based ppl will always use there hands to scoop it out and that introduces all kind of nasties. And u need to reach ur emulsifiers. That needs a binder. Because there is no binder n the avocado oil is liquid and Shea and coconut oil have a really low melt point so it’s going to melt in the spring summer and some of the fall also u need an oil absorber. Those r beautiful oils n butter but those specific oils are not finally milled so use something to absorb the oil that allows it not to be greasy when u apply it. I figured I’d give u some tips. It will save u a lot of money and trial and error. It took me years to get mine exactly how I want it. Do a lot of research on preservatives, oil’s, binders and emulsifiers. U’ll be very happy that u did.

Your work is beautiful.. In respect to your PSA for creators to inform their patrons of the ingredients in their purchased products.. Titanium Dioxide causes cancer.. it’s in Deodorants as well.. Anything that isn’t organic, mixed with what is organic,organic kills the PH levels and can become carcinogenic and detrimental to the skin.. It also causes inflammation in the lymph nodes and endocrine system. The dye itself seeps beneath the dermis; and of strong enough, may coat the epidermis.. All I’m saying is please be careful.. Your work is beautiful yet there are organic dyes that can be used. Dried flowers, bark, roots etc.. You do not have to accept my research.. My findings can be found in chemistry and physics books.. If you don’t have these kinds of book on hand and/or readily available, you can use google to do your own due diligence. I’m not here to bash nor condemn.. We each hold a puzzle piece by which we all interconnect with.. For this video.. This is mine.. 🧩

Where did you hear that titanium dioxide is carcinogenic?
@aictopus
@aictopus 4 жыл бұрын
Titanium dioxide inhalation is dangerous, using it in cosmetics and such is most likely not. As long as you follow the safety precautions to prevent accidental inhalation of TD (also any micas used) you're going to be fine. Also it's listed as a possible carcinogen. The FDA approved TD as a color additive.
