I am so happy to hear you are finding motivation and inspiration with us! We just designed 8 mosaic kits, they are available at witsendmosaic.com, they too may help you get back to the business of "play". Thanks for being a fan.

Do you have classes I’d like to make a rooster in a frame, I saw it on Facebook. It’s really cool.

Where can you buy the machine for fine cut edges?
@MakeitMosaics Жыл бұрын
I am guessing you mean the ring saw. There are a few different manufacturers, it is the sort of thing you may also find used. It is commonly used by stained glass artists. This is a good brand and the cheapest on the market new amzn.to/3MNMMnx

I was waitimg for you to show us how to create a mosiac or how to glue pie es together or Something!🤣

You have to jump off and try! I show you substrate options, which I discuss at length in other videos. Demonstrated is back buttering the pieces, ways to cut, talk about adhesive options and there are examples of artworks made. I teach the technique - but in the Washington DC metro, which may not be convenient for you. - but look at www.maverickmosaicswebsite.com (workshops), you will see even more student works. Follow your instincts and do the work. There are countless resources on the internet to further guide you.

Hi Bonnie, I'm just starting out with mosaics and I'd like to make a seaglass mosaic window. I don't really want to glue my pieces onto anything (glass in a frame or anything else) because one side is always "ugly" if you do that. I was planning on placing my seaglass in a silicone mold and then filling it with something that can glue it together. I'd like the material to look a bit like stone when it's dried (so I can't use resin) but I'm not sure if there's anything out there that will be strong enough to hold everything together? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

how do you cut in shapes the hardy back substrate? will a jigsaw work? which jigsaw? there are so many. Thanks
@MakeitMosaics4 жыл бұрын
Yes we just used a jigsaw, nothing fancy, but with a diamond edge blade, available at Home Depot/Lowes.

Bonnie, thank you for these videos! They would really be taken to the next level with some sound production improvements though. Either a lapel microphone or a boom mic situated off camera would do wonders for sound quality and make them much easier to follow without using captions.

The audio situation is frustrating, I do the editing myself iMovie. I did use a lapel microphone, going to work it more! Thanks for being a fan!

We have many folks who help with production, and I happily include their creative ideas, including their editorial video and audio choices. I appreciate your candid voice, I also must go to bat for the hard-working people making this channel available at no charge. This video has very little music. Thank you for watching.
