Absolutely love this video. We are doing the same thing on our fireplace wall. We only have room for one Billy bookcase on each side. We frameed them in. Then we built a new wall above the fireplace that is even with the bookcases. I did a vertical ship lap on that new wall where the TV will go. Everything is done except for painting and a few trim pieces. I loved what you did!

Wow! Beautiful! I have a question about the cords and how you access them to change out the TV. Do you need to remove the fireplace? I couldn't figure out how you reached in there to plug in the fireplace and tv 😁
@KelseyRomitoDIY2 жыл бұрын
I really wish I would have included this in the video. I left a hole behind the tv and shiplap. I also cut holes in the side of the cabinets that touched the shiplap. I had wall outlets behind the cabinets that I accessed by cutting additional holes in the back of the cabinets. So the tv cord goes behind the shiplap. It runs down then comes out of the side and plugs in a wall outlet behind the cabinet doors. So you never see any wires. Hope this makes sense.

There are outlets on either side inside the cabinets (the outlets were already there- I just cut holes in the back of cabinet to access them). The wires run down behind tv and fireplace.
