Cool video. Adorable shop helper! Do the butterflies need a “peg” or something to land on before they go into the slots? Since I’m a few years after the video first posted. How many butterflies have you had? Thanks for sharing the beauty with us. 🙏🏼
@rhwoodshop5 жыл бұрын
Thank You!!! No need for a peg they can just crawl right in. The mesh grass gives them a place to gather when inside. I never took count of how many we had but I did see it get used. Also putting butterfly nectar inside it helps entice them to use it.

looks good. Do you put something over your vinyl to "seal" it?

I don't. I used the same vinyl on my back glass of my truck in a prior video and it has held up beautifully.

Hey....awesome video...wish I would have seen this a few months ago...oh well...who says it can't just be an every day project to make the day special for the kids?? Also, what music did you use for the video? I totally dig it. If you can send me a link or something so I can find the music, that'd be awesome unless you came up with it yourself and it's not available....ready for more projects!!

Hey drew, I've just got myself a kreg jig and am going to make a cabinet like the one you made a while back, I'd just like to ask you if your still happy with it or if there's any changes / improvements you'd make now you've had time to use it ?? Thanks and keep up the good work. Trev
@rhwoodshop9 жыл бұрын
Really, there aren't a lot of changes I would make to this. There's one big thing that I left off that I probably would like to put on there and that is a measurement device. Something simple as a measuring tape would be handy to have accurate placement of my pocket holes. Other than that, I really like the usefulness of the cabinet. The ability to remove the jig and can take it anywhere I want for bigger projects is super handy.
@trevsutton81859 жыл бұрын
Thanks drew that's a good idea, will add one to mine . I'll try to send you a some pics when I get it done!!.. Keep up the good work. Boom!!.... Trev

Drew, Apparently only positive feedback is allowed and honesty is deleted. Everyone knows that creators have to right to do what the want and I respect that. At 72, I only comment with total honesty. I thought that is what creators wanted. I do not leave dishonest comments or try to belittle a creator. I appreciate and enjoy what they do. I have watched all your videos since day one, I do not consider myself the safety police but when I see something that involves children that really strikes my heart I will comment on that too. Both positive and negative. BTW - I did the video a thumbs up. Thanks. JimE
@aprilmichelle55939 жыл бұрын
He only deletes comments that start to pile up with a "bandwagon" of negatives.. He doesn't care for the back and forth stuff.....
@rhwoodshop9 жыл бұрын
Jim I completely understand your sentiment. I only delete the comment that causes a lot of back-and-forth negativity. I take all kinds of feedback positive and negative I just don't want it to become a negative brawl in the comment section. I am fine with what you stated. Don't feel you have to justify. I appreciate your continued viewership of my channel.
@JimE62439 жыл бұрын
Rock-n H Woodshop Drew, I appreciate and thank you for your understanding. JimE
@rhwoodshop9 жыл бұрын
Jim E You're very welcome. One thing that people don't understand about us creators is we are under the microscope with every video we release. One little thing really gets blown out of proportion. I do this because I love it!!! I have a passion for it, but others refuse to be positive when commenting on videos that I work SO HARD to produce. Then others hide behind those comments and really blow out my "mistakes". I hope you understand and NO this isn't directed at you. :-)
@JimE62439 жыл бұрын
Rock-n H Woodshop Drew, Like I said above, I respect what creators do.. I try to be honest in my comments and don't try to hide behind a keyboard. Thanks for listening and the responses.. JimE
