I enjoyed watching yours camping videos. I always wanted to do that, but never have that chance yet. It's on my bucket list for sure. Thank you for sharing

I like the 1*4's or 1*6's that you attached to the sides of the subfloor for mounting the side walls on the insides of those !!??

I was wondering if it would be possible to build something like this and be able to lift it out of there somehow. Edit: I used to have a custom ford ranger camper shell with a pulley system installed.

I loke your camper. Where did you get the MDO plywood. Having trouble finding it.
@BrianWatersOutdoors Жыл бұрын
I had to special order it from a local plywood dealer

Hey man love the build. Just have a question. Your trailer is 5.5 x 10 right. You said your subfloor was 5x10 toward the end of the video. Was were your exact measurements of the subfloor to the trailer. Did you go exactly 5.5 or did you leave 1/2 inch to and inch gap on both sides ?
@BrianWatersOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
I left about. 1/2” on each side so the exterior walls would not run up against the trailer side railing

Do you have any plans for this I just picked up the same size trailer and love the design
@BrianWatersOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Sorry, no plans. I just “designed as I built it”. Have you seen the entire playlist I have with all of the stages of this build? Might help you out a bit

Did you consider bolting it to the metal frame instead of the wood? I'm interested in your thought process, thanks!
@BrianWatersOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
I did, but truthfully was not any good area for me to do that. The cross bars are only 1/8” angle, so the 2x8 in my opinion holds a stronger connection

I wouldn’t go less than 12 inches center’s on the floor with 1/4 inch.

That was my thought as well. I’ll add those further along the build before I insulate it all. I might bump up the flooring to 1/2” though the more I think about it.

@@BrianWatersOutdoors probably wise.I’m excited to see this come together.
