Very helpful, just what I needed! We are moving and even though our renters said they don't mind, I hated the thought of leaving it for them to fix. My cat left a spot just like that by the back door when she was shut inside for a couple days. I figured there must be a simple way to patch it without having to hire someone but had no idea how to go about it, now I do! Thank you!

Carpet padding goes underneath, usually rebounded foam. Carpet from a donor area like a closet for the missing areas, of course.

Never a bother! 😁 it’s called rebounded pad and it typically comes in small or large 6lb or 8lb rolls, and yes, you can get at Lowe’s or Home Depot.

Amazing!! So we had an appraisal done and we have to fix an area going into the bedroom….. where kitties scratched up the carpet and the area a little more tricky because it’s where the door closes and curves around the corner 🤦🏼‍♀️😜 so it’s not a straight line fix ….. uggggg ewww … but had a flooring guy quote us $250 plus supplies $50 .. are you kidding me!! And the appraisal guy said we need a transition strip over that doorway 🤦🏼‍♀️🙄. Not sure what to do!! Suggestions anyone?? 😥

Well, your options are to attempt yourself, hire a repair guy, or replace. The curvy metal transition is a bit more work. To be honest, price seems fair, but again, I’m in the Sf Bay Area. Expensive here. Best!
