DIY Christmas Believe Candle Holder

Since the Christmas season is upon us, I wanted to make a candle holder that would be a nice decoration around the home and a nice little gift to give someone. This candle holder is made from mahogany and black walnut and features 5 tea lights. It is a nice beginners project and can be completed in a day.

Check out the Inventables X-Carve website - They have a forum where users sell systems for various reasons. If you ever order a system I recommend saving your money on the waste board and the heavy shipping cost of it. It is a great entry / mid level system with plenty of room to grow.

Great idea. Like you mentioned, even without engraving it's a good one for home. Do you get your wood stock from local lumber yard or big box store? #Christmas

I get my lumber from a local sawmill. He is small so I get a good price. I think I pay somewhere around $3 a board foot for walnut. If I need an exotic species there are 2 hardwood dealers local to me but they charge a lot more.
