I’ve done the tree diy and it’s gorgeous, something I did a little different is I angled my drill bit slightly angling up, so that the branches stems would go slightly upward which gave the ends more droop. I also took smaller branches woven in between the branches to give it more of a look of new branches forming. It is my favorite project of the year. My husband asked me not to decorate and liked the tiny fairy lights. Thank you for the fantastic inspiration ❤

Thank you for being here with us and watching our DIYs. The suggestion of angling the branches upward is a great idea and I bet the branches look even better. I would have added more greenery, but I had run out of stems and wasn't about to go back to Hobby Lobby. I think they know me by name now 😄 And I think lights make everything better. Just found your channel, loved all of these projects! Your "antiqued metal" ornaments turned out great. It's nice to see you can achieve these results using paint you find at Michaels or Hobby Lobby instead of buying more expensive antiquing waxes and gold gilding waxes. Wonderful and beautiful projects! I thought your idea of creating the beads in individual loop lengths was genius! I can never get the beads to loop how and where I want them. I feel both the weight and less flexibility in the long strand is problematic. You have created the perfect solution!

@@the_dauer_diaries prayers are very welcome. Felt fine in February, my hip started to hurt and two months later I was diagnosed with breast and bone cancer. My mobility has improved greatly but still a ways to go. My marker numbers have dramatically reduced since starting treatment as well.
