//Support me on Patreon//: / jonnybuilds How to build a DIY coffee table using reclaimed oak flooring that came from a Clydesdale horse barn in Oklahoma City. This coffee table uses hardware from kitn.co (Kit & Co.). I built two versions of this DIY coffee table. The first version is a simple beginner level DIY coffee table using pine 2x6’s, limited tools, and can be built in an hour. The second version of this coffee table uses reclaimed oak barnwood, and will sell for over $1000. Thanks for checking out this reclaimed wood coffee table.

Trust quality of what you know. Not quantity. ~Miyagi That table is SO pretty! I like the tongue and groove edges. It adds a little something different without being a distraction from how beautiful the wood is.

Jonny did you consider using the end straps on the top of the table? that would’ve been a nice look.
@JonnyBuilds
@JonnyBuilds 6 жыл бұрын
I did, but I didn’t like the look. I would’ve wanted them to stretch the entire width of the top. Also I like that the oak is the star of the show, and the hardware is simple yet enhances the piece.

Lucky to get $300 at most. I go to Home Depot and get 2 inch flat metal and bend it to shape....there's your frame, then add a slab of wood, and voila, it's done for about leess than $100.
@DanLimbach
@DanLimbach 6 жыл бұрын
Sweet project. If I could sell the pine tables for $1,000 I would build them all day. I'm in the kitn.co website right now. Your oak table is amazing. I like the use of dowels so you can use the straps on the underside of the table. What do you think about using threaded inserts and bolts for mounting the legs instead of screws going directly into the wood?
@JonnyBuilds
@JonnyBuilds 6 жыл бұрын
Haha, yeah the pine version wouldn’t go for that, but oak version is going to sell for $1200. Threaded inserts would totally work. You could easily drill out bigger holes in the legs. Thanks for checking it out!

I went to look at the kits but once I'd been at the Kit & Co site for about 10 seconds a box popped up to subscribe to their email list and the close button didn't work... so no looking at the website at all without subscribing to their ads. Sorry, no.. I'm not signing up when I haven't even had a chance to look at anything. Awesome table though..

Emily thanks for checking it out. If you liked the Kit hardware I encourage you to give it another look. I ran into the same issue you described just now, but clicking on the site logo took me out of it immediately. Guessing it’s a little website glitch and not trying to lock you into signing up for emails.
