Hi Rick, can you tell me why you are installing that ozone generator ACROSS the water filter and not past it ? I'm guessing because the water is being used for just bathing.

Sure thing @ShakespearHD First off, thanks for watching the video. I’ll be honest, it’s taken a lot of nerve to get up in front of the camera lately, so it means a lot that people are watching. Now to your question… The reason I have the Venturi injector running in parallel instead of in-line with the filter is for a couple of reasons. First, the Venturi restricts water flow significantly compared to the three-quarter inch diameter I’m using throughout the rest of the system. I’m not sure of the exact interior diameter of the valve, but it’s at least half the size of the main tubing. This restriction would greatly impact the flow of water back into the tub and put extra strain on the pump. Secondly, ozone doesn’t sanitize instantly; it’s more about mixing into the water and creating a sanitizing effect over time. Because of this, not all the water needs to pass directly through the injector. Running it in parallel allows for a balanced flow while still ensuring the water gets effectively sanitized by the ozone as it circulates. Hope this clarifies things, and thanks again for your support!

@@TeamFITBODY I came across you as I am doing a bit of research for my cousins water quality issues. Being so focused on disinfection I completely missed the issue with having a Venturi Effect piece in the system. You come across very well in front of the camera 🙂 All the Best 😀

Thanks for putting this information out there. I'm currently doing my research on cold plunge baths with hopes of building my own an enjoying some of the many health benefits this has to offer. Really enjoy yours videos so keep up the good work. Thank You🙂

Thanks! Appreciate it! Have you built a tub or do you use one?

@ I have, yes. I put together a DYI setup with a pump, chiller, filter system and Ozone, similar to what you did. Works really well. I bought the plan from the DYIColdPlunge KZbin channel before I came across your video. They’re pretty similar but with PVC unions for easy disconnects from the hoses. Otherwise, basically identical.

@@GunCultureUSA Joe is good people and is how I started as well. Modified his plans a bit but the plans at DIY CP are awesome. Have you seen his new plans for stock tanks? It's my next build around a 150 Gallon. diycoldplunge.com/collections/stock-tank-plans-products/products/stock-tank-cold-plunge-plan?ref=RICKLOHRE

@@elliottortiz2 Awesome. How often have you been plunging? I will be honest, if I don't plunge every day, I notice a couple things: Lack of focus on days I don't plunge and resistance to getting back in if it's been a day or two since I plunged. The procrastination is real if I skip more than 3 days.

@@TeamFITBODYI been doing this for the past two months, started once a day and now I do it twice a day. I do it first thing when I get up and after work in the evenings to reset. It’s been amazing, I now do it in 33 degrees Fahrenheit.

@@elliottortiz2 33º is NO JOKE. Especially at twice a day! Has it helped your sleep? I notice if I plunge after 7pm and hit the hay before 10 my sleep score with my Garmin is OFF THE CHAIN!

Awesome video! Would you leave your insulated lid off when running Ozone?
@TeamFITBODY15 күн бұрын
I actually leave mine on until the ozonator is done and then vent prior to using the plunge. Since I usually do it a the end of the plunge and no one else uses it after me, by the next day a simple "whaft" of the cover seems to clear any residual ozone in the airspace.
