Hello, did you have the middle sections cut instead of using the expansion joint foam? Can we use the expansion joint foam in the middle instead of cutting the cross (+)? Thanks!

Those are for [crack] control joints. You don't need another expansion joint unless doing at least 20'+ wide sections.

Wouldn't you want the slab cement to bind to the wall cement? We have a serious water problem in our basement from a high water table. The water seeps in all along the perimeter of the basement slab.

That sounds more like a drainage issue. Might want to talk to someone about getting the water away from the foundation, rather than trying to keep it on the other side of a permeable surface. :-)

You left out how to level the concrete without a screed board. Seems like it would be hard to get it level.

I don't think that siliconized acrylic sealant is rated for use on green (uncured) concrete.
