I am making masks too. When I tried the folds on the 3" paper, I can't get it to fold up all the way, having the center the fabric getting to match up

Thank you SO much 🙏 I didn’t think I had enough fabric to bind my project. I found your video and only had a 17” square, but following your easy instructions I was able to create more than enough binding. I was so happy 🧡

I have watched other videos do this and I always end up confused where to draw the lines. But not today, could see entire piece of fabric so knew exactly where lines were to be drawn. Can't believe how simple yu made thus technque. I am so thankful your video is still being shown on YT.

I got 6 yards of stretched and ironed 2 inch bias tape out of a 20 inch square. Thank you so much for this tutorial! I love the lack of waste!

I wish people would spend a few seconds showing how the off-set of the first strip works to make sure we get it lined up properly. Otherwise, this was a great video and I was able to accomplish making 10 yards of binding in no time!

I tried it and got confused lining up the second seam but by some miracle it works. Thought u were crazy but I'm a believer now. Won't do bias tape any other way.

This was by far the best video I’ve seen on how to make bias binding. The bonus was it didn’t take her 30-minutes to show how to make bias binding in 5-minutes 😃. I finished making the binding so quickly I thought I had done something wrong, but I had done something all right 😅.

Even though I watched this video before, I watched again today for a bag project where I need bias binding. I love making my own bias binding. This technique is great because, as Caroline said, there are no wasted odd triangle fabric pieces to add to our scrap bins. You are a great teacher, Caroline!

What a pleasant surprise! I expected a bunch of cuts and then sewing strips together! I know it says "continuous" but I didn't expect a FINISHED continuous bias binding! Thank you!

I'm a beginner sewer and am so glad to have found your video! The fabric store in our area closed and anyway, the bias tape I'd buy wasn't what I wanted anyway...but it was fast. The other videos I watched were so daunting! This is simple and though I'll need to watch it a couple more times - I am confident I can do this...thank you so much!!!!

Thank you for this excellent video. With an 18” square of leftover fabric I made enough bias to make piping for covers for two dining room chairs. Such efficient use of the fabric!!

Excellent video. I learned this technique years ago but couldn't remember and I like that your video is quick and easy and right to the point. As others have said, not a lot of unnecessary chatter. There are many other videos for making bias strips, but this is by far the quickest and easiest in my opinion. Thanks much!

Yay! I love it! It took me a while to understand what you did after drawing the cutting lines, then how you pinned it together was confusing for me..but I worked backwards from the last edges that were pinned and it all worked out fine. Actually, excellently. soooo.. thankyou for teaching me this!! This is now my go-to method!

When I saw this video, I couldn't wait to try it out. "Magic" is right! I never knew that I could make bias strips with almost no wasted fabiric/useless triangles. This is a brilliant technique, that you explained very clearly. Thank youi for sharing it!

Excellent explanation! I've used this method for decades and am surprised that it is not more commonly taught. But you taught me one brilliant trick that makes the whole thing easier and faster - marking the cutting lines before sewing the second seam. Thanks! By the way, for those making masks, you don't need bias ties. Ties cut on the straight grain and folded over - with a bias tape maker, if you have one - work just fine and are easier to make.

Thank you sooooo much. I'm making face masks for my community during this COVID 19 disaster and there was no bias tape to be found online (brick and mortar stores have been closed). Your video was a blessing...you literally walked me through. I got 6 yds. out of my fat quarter. Thank you again. :)

Great video! I wanted to make fabric napkins, but didn't have enough material to make it double-sided (self-binding). This video was straight to the point. I have twin flat sheets that I wanted to use to make napkins (happily the colours compliment each other nicely). Now I make some bias tape! TY.

I watched other video and they matched the drawend lines together, But you lined them up a 1/4 inch apart and explained you can use any size 18x18,12x12 etc.. best video ❤👍🏼

I have seen videos 10x as long that explain how to do this in the past. I was so confused by the ends of them; I did not need to hear what did not work! I only need a small amount of binding for a hot pad (this time) and am hoping a 10” square will give me enough. Thanks for your CLEAR and CONCISE editing.

You are smart and amazing!! Thank you so much..I don't use a bias tool.. mark your width on your ironing board..then put a pin in it.."feed" your bias material through while ironing!! I love the old way..my mom is 91 and she does it the old fashioned way.. 🧓😇 Thank you the best bias video ever!!
