What do you do to prevent the fabric from fraying? Everytime I sew something, when I wash it, the edges that I’ve sewed fray and I’m not sure how I can prevent that when I don’t have a serger. Do you experience this issue?

Hi Courtney! Just a beginner here, but I used to have that issue too. Now I always zig-zag stitch over any raw edges. You can also purchase pinking sheers, which cut into fabric in a way that greatly reduces fraying. But I would definitely do zig-zag stitches if the clothes are going for a tumble in the wash.

You can also do a french seam, that way not only your garment wont fray but also your seams will look kinda fancy
