Wow I love this!! I’m so unskilled with tools. I’ll have to talk my dad into making it for me 😅

Beautiful job! I love seeing other women like myself who tackle these projects with grit and results that reflect their anesthetics. Bravo!

Nice job. It’s so nice to see ladies learning woodworking. If I could make a suggestion. If you’re going to make several ( or many ) 2 x 4’s of the same length, it saves time if you cut one 2 x 4 to the length you want then clamp a stop ( block ) the distance from the saw blade which is determined by that first 2 x 4. You can cut 2 or 1000 and they’ll be the exact length. I like to pre cut ( or rough cut ) the additional 2 x 4’s an extra inch first, to make sure one end of each 2 x 4 is square.

I do like the design a lot, tbh. Also, as recommendation, do the main structure in treated lumber as well.

Okay if you not cutting perfectly is considered laziness then you have a whole definition of what laziness looks like! You're far from lazy, the word lazy should not even be in your vocabulary! What I make up about it is if this was for a customer it would have been spot on so knowing that you're the customer you weren't attached to everything you were not to attach to what it all looked like you just wanted it to be functional and that's exactly what you gave yourself! Learning to love ourselves is a big journey and we are to love our neighbor as ourselves right so I believe you're a beautiful person you do a great job and there's nothing about you that's lazy keep up the good work

Great job. I like it, simple and would work great for swimming pool equipment. Going to implement this into a couple of our builds

Great idea for other uses! They’ve worked great for us so far. We’re in the Midwest and have a lot of wind and crazy weather from time to time and I haven’t had any issues with them moving, falling over, breaking, etc. Send me a pic and let me know how it turns out!

And for anyone making would builds like this that have storms that do come through even though they're a bit heavy they still can get knocked over they make metal stakes that can attach to the wood and you can get them into the ground at least a foot which would make them more stable just a thought

Dude, these look AMAZING!! Typically, my DIY projects turn out less than ideal. Meanwhile, you would never know you made these yourself- They look like they're done by a professional! You could sell these for monnnnayyy

That type of glue doesn’t provide any strength when on end grain. Construction adhesive would provide more strngth.

Was hoping you could show how to attach? What happens when a strong wind comes along?
@jesseandcompany2 жыл бұрын
Both of them just sit in front/around the units. No attachment at all. We live in the Midwest, so we have our share of crazy weather 😁 Over a year later, they have held up perfectly! They haven’t dented or been otherwise damaged from hail, nor been knocked over or even budged by wind. I think the weight definitely helps - they’re heavier than they look. Thank you for the question!

I like your story-telling style and finished projects. Howver, the bare foot on the wood and knees on the concrete are cringeworthy. Please take safety into account others are watching and will likely emulate these unsafe practices.
