i tried making this it turned out amazing tips for anyone who's making this top - use more than 50 cm if you have large bust measurement , you see how she folds the extra fabric to make the facing , if you had large bust measurements you won't have much left when i made this i ended up with about 2 cm facing which is way too little to work with - other thing is that what she did in the side seam (i think it's known by the french seam) , which means you first sew wrong sides facing each other then trim the seam as close as you can to the stitches then you flip it on the other side and then you sew it right side facing each other so the seam is trapped inside the that's why it says no surger needed i didn't pay that much attention to this first time making it so i ended up with a messss xD and Good luck and as always thanks for your great content Anna

i quess we can measure from the armhole down and find out ( for the 1/4bust-5 to 1/4bust +2) this i think that will also depends on how much exposure we want in this area. and the other (1/4bust+3) should be put depending on the lenght that we want. I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️ hope you will understand smth from my explication ☺️ it’s a guessing solution i’m not 100% sure about this.

So basically, the length from strap is the point where the strap starts to the hem. Which will be the length of the top. And the measurements and all bust measurements divided by 4 with plus or minus as stated? I’m a bit confused about this. What are the -5, +2 , +3? Correct me if I’m wrong, it’s the armhole, actual bust line and waist?
@bhanavimathur

And then we have 2 facings? One is folder over to the CF and there is one extra piece for the back.
@Annathetailor
@Annathetailor 4 жыл бұрын
You are absolutely right with everything you’ve said. I cut two details folded in half so that’s why all measurements are divided in 4. First width is a neck, then bust and something between waist and hips.
@bhanavimathur
@bhanavimathur 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for clarifying! I tried making this with a modal satin (that’s what I had available) but I started with the straps and and unfortunately the fabric is fraying too much. I couldn’t turn the straps inside out with the loop turner. I don’t have an overlocker, and I don’t think a zig zag stitch would work on the on straps. Any recommendations on how I could finish mine?
@trecymtn
