You didn't see many layers (even with ur high ponytail placement) bc you brought the section DOWN (and forward) when cutting. If you redirect the hair straight UP from the ponytail (or at an angle higher than 90°) and then cut, you'd get more dramatic layers. 💜

You need to find another tutorial this one doesn’t show the proper way to comb the hair before you cut so the layering didn’t come out on this cut.

Why is the back of the head not shown in so many hair cutting videos? That is the most important part of the whole cut. A detailed all-round view is missing.
