It turned out great. We have the same type of curls. Most of the curly girls I find on youtube have tighter, kinky curls. We need more videos for girls with soft natural wavy curls. 👍🏼

Thank you so much!! Yes I agree! I always acknowledge my hair type is slightly different - huge part of that is the black is dye, hence the struggle for my whole head to curl up the same. If you stay tuned you’ll see an updated cut - video coming soon ❤️

She May Not “Own” It But She Did Do A Video Based On The Hair Cut Mell Did So💁🏻♀️ Not Hating Cause She Did Just As Well As Mell Did💜

@@kaleabaladez9776 except the pigtails are lower so less layers. But her hair is a lot thinner than Mel's so it was a better choice for her.

I can't figure out if it's cuz your hair is so long for this cut or maybe you didn't trim enough of the thinned out bottom, but it looks a tiny bit stringy and thin along the bottom in the back. My hair is a similar length and curl type. I've been doing cuts gradually over the last few months. I need to cut several more inches to remove damage from bleach, which I'm not prepared to do right now. But I'm just curious how this cut looks with longer hair that's maybe not super dense, because ultimately it's the length I'd like to maintain as I grow out my damaged bleach.
@livingwithzaien83182 жыл бұрын
I agree, I’m not sure if I mentioned it in the video but I was desperately trying to preserve length but I did go back in after the video and trimmed until it was better. It’s hard when you don’t want to let go of length but sometimes it’s best! I kept trimming as it grew out. I can’t wait to post an updated haircut video soon! My curl type is drastically different from this video. Check out my current curly cut on my IG @zaiennn ! Thanks for watching 🤎

Yeah, I understand. I'm hanging onto my damaged length as I learn healthy hair techniques, eventually it'll all be long and healthy with knowledge. I'll look forward to an update!

How does this work for side parting hair? I've tried twice as all these videos say part in the middle when cutting so I do, but when it's dry and I side part as normal it's horribly unbalanced. Any ideas? I don't suit the middle part and im stuck with it now :'(
@suesmith616 Жыл бұрын
It shouldn't be unbalanced at all but just slightly layered down the side with the most hair when you side part. If you do this method with a side part, then if you ever decide to comb it back and put it in a ponytail, it will look uneven from the back as one side of your ponytail will be longer. I hope you understand what I am trying to get across to you.🙂

Go watch manesbymel. She is a all curly type expert. She is a stylist and has curls herself. At the time she made the video she had longer hair, and always rocks a side part. She shows how to cut it with a side part.

What brand and shade do you use for color?

I use salon professional dye - so you can ask your hair stylist for it! It’s the Redkin Shades EQ Gloss in the color 01B ONYX

That is not the right way to hold the scissors your thumb and ring finger go into the holes you first and middle finger sit in front of the ring finger that’s in the hole and you pinky rests on the tail thing I learned that in cosmology school I’m sure you can google it and it will show a picture it’s hard to explain without being able to show
@pennydemopoulos1432 жыл бұрын
No offense, that is not how to hold your hair cutting scissors 🤓
@livingwithzaien8318 Жыл бұрын
Lol thanks for your late observation, but no offense this wasn’t a ‘how to properly hold your hair cutting scissors’ video. We have already acknowledged that I wasn’t 100% perfect in comments. It’s going to be okay I promise 🤭
@kellygreene3267 Жыл бұрын
I am so sorry to embarrass you on your channel, but that is NOT how to hold your shears. Yes, the thumb does go in one hole, but the 4th finger (the ring finger), not the index finger, goes in the other hole and IT controls the shears, not the thumb. Try it the professional method, you will probably feel less stress among your fingers...
@livingwithzaien8318 Жыл бұрын
Lmfao trust me there’s no way YOU could embarrass me 💀 how about you take your backhanded “help” & take a look at some comments below & see that it’s already been addressed about 2 years ago. All is good the world is not ending Kelly Greene!

WAAAAAAAAAVY ! type 2 is wavy honey and no you do not have a similar hair type as Manes by Mell. your hair is wavy and not curly. It's okay, still beautiful, but not the same struggle ;) (oh and stop checking yourself out every second, it's painful to watch)
@Ehawee983 жыл бұрын
she seems new in the "embracing your natural hair" game (judging from her thumbnails), so maybe don't "gatekeep" the curly/wavy community and instead give her tips what she could do better?
