Brilliant engineering, good to see a real shed built custom that takes brains and not loads of cash to make it work!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

More 250 content to come, Im in the process of editing next part of the spring build. Ive had bit of an accident on the lathe so thats slowing things down a bit.

@@dtaylo4517 Sorry to hear about your accident, hope it's nothing to serious. So looking forward to seeing the new vids, love the way you take your time to explain what and how you do things

@@michaeljlydon6991 Nothing to serious, just a deep cut on my left hand but did involve a trip down A&E. New video for next weekend and plenty more content. Thank you for the support :)

Hi I like your bike build videos I was wondering on your Springer build & heavy gauge of metal used for such small bike, will it be any heavier than standard front end..(Triple clamps)
@dtaylo45173 жыл бұрын
Yes that was a concern of mine, but I was also concerned that thinner gauge material wouldn't be robust enough. Id rather over engineer just to be on the safe side, thats my opinion of it. The springer is certainly going to be a learning experience for me, I trust that i've done enough research for it to work out as planned.

I loved your work 😍 and it inspired me to make one for my Honda Magna 82. Could you tell me the thickness of the tubes for the forks? My motorcycle weighs 220kilos dry, so I don't want to take any chances with metals. Greetings from Chile! 😁
@dtaylo45173 жыл бұрын
Thank you, all the best with your Honda Magna. The tube thickness I used for fixed and active forks was 3.25mm. I will have some plans available soon so please keep an eye out.

where can I get CAD designs to build my own springer or leaf front end??
@dtaylo45173 жыл бұрын
I'm actually looking to put the plans together to purchase, it will be a small amount but this will then be invested back into the channel, watch this space!

Damn. Could I pay you to build me one for a 2008 Rebel 250? I’d never be able to make one. Lol

Im currently drawing the plans up to help people build their own, keep an eye out.
