Make what you want, how you want to, and your true fans will appreciate for what it is. Good job on the table

Nice Job! I love the details in how it was set up. The trial and error of figuring it out was very informative!

That's what I made the video for. Inspiration. One thing to note. One person can carry this one but it's easier with 2.

Thanks! I was wondering what a mini with a clear base would look like on a screen 😁👍

I'm about to start a similar project, though slightly less ambitious, and your video definitely provided some useful insights, so thank you! My question here is: did you measure and test fit everything so the tv fits exactly into the case with no room to wiggle, or did you secure it somehow? I was thinking of screwing it into the bottom using the vesa mount backplate, but I'm not experienced with any DIY crafts so this will be a huge project for me and I would appreciate your opinion on this.
@theartprojectАй бұрын
I made sure it fit with little wiggle room side to side and up and down. Then I secured it front against the plexiglass with a couple of strips of wood screwed into the frame, not the TV. Using the Versa mount sounds like a good idea. God go with you!

Maybe I missed it but do you have plans also did you rest the TV on top of the plexiglass?
@theartproject4 ай бұрын
I don't have plans exactly, because I deviated from the plans quite a bit. I will see if I can find them and make them available if I can. I cut a groove the plexiglass fit in just a 1/4 inch above the TV.

Very cool. Good narration, don't worry. I'd have to buy one. Don't have the skill or tools you have. 😊

Well thanks for watching anyway! Maybe find a friend that has the tools. Friendship project!

Is the only thing holding the TV in from the front the Plexiglass or is there a wood lip that I'm not seeing?

I'm using Roll20. 2 windows open one on my laptop; the DMs Roll20 and the players map on the flat screen TV. Sometimes from different laptops.

What size TV do you recommend?
@theartproject9 ай бұрын
My philosophy is bigger is better, but you'll want to measure your table first I think.
@shawnsmith20169 ай бұрын
@@theartproject lol. That is never the answer I want to hear. I was looking at 40 in tvs but I guess that isn’t enough.

What software do you use to display maps, or do you just open images plain?
@theartproject Жыл бұрын
We use Roll20. We just open it up online and all the maps we need are there. There's probably a better way. We just haven't experimented enough.

@@theartproject highly recommend checking out Arkenforge. I've used a handful of options from R20 to Fantasy Grounds to Foundry,even a couple more I can't recall, and they all have merits and flaws. For in person though I gotta say Arkenforge wins. Super easy to use, has audio players (both ambient and music) and video support for animated maps or whatever else you could want. Great job on the table, can't wait to build one myself me and my crew still just have a TV flat on table lol.

What size lumber did you use
@theartproject10 ай бұрын
Whew! Great question. Mostly 1x6s. But I was trying not to buy anything so a lot of it is scrap. The back/bottom is a piece of scrap luan. If I had to do it over again I'd make it lighter some how. It's almost too heavy.
@Harm-n3c10 ай бұрын
Is the top piece that surrounds the tv with the spot routed out that can hold the dice a 1x4 ima try and copy your exactly you should draw up a plan with instructions and sell it!
