Thanks for your questions. The mesh is 10" and I did 10" poofs. I attached poofs to the top ring then dropped down to the bottom ring and then went back in between the top and bottom ring. I put the third layer in attaching it the the bottom ring ties. Let us know if you have any other questions. - Laurie Anne
