Thanks David. I always thought your own cradles made great realistic presentation and was hoping you’d pop this on at some point. Corvids are so smart and are quick to smell a rat,,,,,this is as good as it gets!

I made one when I saw your first video on this, it's a fantastic bit of kit and well worth the money!.( you can shorten those rivets with a hacksaw if you dismantle them,I've often done it if I just need a few )
@HuntersVermin3 жыл бұрын
Ahh man why didn't i think of that thanks for the tip i know now what to do if i'm stuck with too long a pot rivet again.

And what about plastic decoy ? Are they magpies come to plastic decoy too ??
@HuntersVermin3 жыл бұрын
Yes plastic decoys work as well but sometimes as i found if you use them a lot the birds soon get used to them and wont go near them.

very good Idea! I Live in Portugal, could I legaly go to england / Ireland And go hunting with a Sub 12 ft/Lbs gun? Would I need a registration of my gun/Permit to hunt? Especially my Own airgun tuned down to under 12 ft/lbs? Sure in this Pandemic Period it´s no option, but probably in Future Thanks a lot and greetings from Portugal :)
@HuntersVermin3 жыл бұрын
That is a good question as JH has said you don't need a licence to own a sub 12ft/lb air rifle in England but you could have problems bringing one into the country and the laws are different in Northern Ireland and Ireland as you need an FAC fire arms licence to own an air rifle even a sub 12ft/lb. You could try contacting the BASC for advice as i have asked them a few questions myself in the past and they have been very helpful.

Gonna have to start calling you Handy Andy 🙂 Really nice, and easy, but could you not put the legs on the inside to hide them, or would that make it too hard to work with?
@HuntersVermin3 жыл бұрын
Man what ever happened to Handy Andy anyway, Yes i'm sure you could twist the wire around a bit farther so that they were on the inside but it is thin wire so the birds would need to be close to see it and by that time they would be well within range.
@genebraaksma3 жыл бұрын
Are you still in lock down up in Northern Ireland? Does that mean you can't go out even to hunt if you are all alone? If so a real bummer.
@HuntersVermin3 жыл бұрын
Yes we are still in lockdown in Northern Ireland but we are allowed to do essential bird and mammal pest control but to be honest i have only really been going to the farms that have phoned me looking help with a problem.
