DIY Dollar Tree Holiday Light up Shadow Box

Those boxes would be really cute in a bathroom . I'm doing a woodland/red berry/ cardinal/ winter wonderland theme this year. I've always wanted to do that theme after seeing your gorgeous cardinal tree in 2017 . I always thought that it would cost me a ton of money so I never did it. After seeing how many gorgeous Dollar Tree DIY projects are here on You Tube , I've decided to do it this year. I've already been working on my DIY's and now I can't wait to put it all together in a few months. Thank you so much for all the beautiful inspiration. I can't wait to see anything that you make this year.

Hi Erica, you always have the neatest craft ideas! I have to agree with Gloria about Dollar Tree's. The nicest D-T I have ever been in was in Gulf Shore's Alabama, while vacationing there. It was a New store, very well organized and so much fun to go browse. The ones near me are cluttered and not very nice and very seldom have the items you use for your crafts. I have learned they don't all carry the same items. Can't wait to see your home tour. Merry Christmas!!!

Thank you so much for a wonderful tutorial. So many ways you can do this. Maybe one for each holiday? I can see doing these in different sizes too. I loved how you used the various parts of the frame for measuring your foam pieces. I can't wait to try it. I didn't see those lights at my Dollar Tree last year but I did see some at Walmart in the floral department. I bought one too because they looked intriguing

Love the DIY dollar store shadow box, however, I personally would go with store wooden shadow boxes with string lights, keeping the control switch outside as well. : ) Thank you for your inspiration!

Great idea on making those shadow boxes, the shadow boxes you can purchase at Hobby Lobby, Michael or Walmart are quite expensive.

Dear Erica, this is the first video of yours I've ever seen but it won't be the last! I LOVE shadow boxes - they're just so cool and you can do so much with them. I live in Melbourne, Australia and in a local craft magazine I subscribe to there's a beautiful shadow box project where you cut out a Xmas village from colored card stock and make a 3D Xmas scene using double sided thick foam tape. I was going to make it as it is, but now I've seen your lovely project I'll definitely be adding lights to mine. (And a lot of bling!) Thank you for sharing, I think you've inspired a lot of us.
