DIY Double Sided Winter Snow Camo Suite / HOW TO MAKE

Easy and fast method how to make a double sided winter camouflage suite. You will need just several items and tools (see links below). The suite is lightweight, reasonably durable, somehow insulating and not bulky.

Brilliant. It never occurred to me to use a Tyvek suit as the base layer of a camo set up. I actually have a spare one that I will probably never use for its intended purpose, and now I can do this. FYI I think you are right to go over-sized. I used to know a guy who worked in third world medical camps and his advice to me was ALWAYS take the biggest suit on offer. There are no down sides to having a plastic suit that is too large, but there are LOADS of issues when its too small. Get the largest, and tame the beast with duct tape. Lovely work, thank you.

Greate video. I just ordered 3XL suit because I will wear it above my blue snowsuit, which is very big, I hope it will fit. In addition my snowsuit is not entirely water proof so I hope the tyvek suit will do the job.

Now you are talking my gear! Use for spring, summer, fall, winter camou painted colors (RealTree). Makes far easier wet/damp brush crawling, and keeps stickers etc from grabbing your gear. Windproof/moisture resistant, ultralightweight even with hoodie. Keeps mosquitoes and ticks off (or easily found and killed), use bug spray on legs and arms, and ticks won't crawl on.

Does using the Tyvek material make it noisey? My limited experience with Tyvek and the crinkle sounds it made caused me to ask this question.

Thank you for your good question. This suit is made from a bit different Tyvek than the one used for insulating houses. We are certainly not completely sure, but definitely it it not that stiff. If I remember correctly it did almost zero noise. I was pleased with the performance of the suit very much. Take care!

Now that is a great idea! I will be able to stalk the farmer next door (3 miles away lol) to make sure he's keeping off our land because before we bought the extra bit he took a lot of satisfaction putting up a gate on a public right of way, forcing us to take our horses round a really busy main road. Now he has to get his lawyer to contact ours if HE wants to move his cows. Karma's a bitch! Lol now I can stay hidden and make sure he's not snooping around. ..he's a loathsome piece of pondlife! (Plenty of snow in Scotland to try it out) I'm just wanting to try out some of your overnight shelters next month (still winter in Scotland! !) I like the sleeping platform up a tree that you did but I am taking the warmest sleeping bags and I am going to build a hobo stove (you only ship to US) as I want to try it out too. Good on this guy for being a teacher to those who are uninformed but the video is misleading. tyvek suits rip very easily as they are made of very thin material. Literally running from a threat in these, should your camouflage be compromised, the suit will shred depending on where you are. I've been at work and bent over with a tyvek suit on and had the crotch rip all the way from front to back. I've had the foot covers bust open just from putting my boot into it... Just throwing that out there.
