This is way above my skill level. Next time you have to put steel into wood put the steel in the freezer till it is atthe terminal degree. It should slide in with a little less resilience. This is one awesome drill press. Bully!

Nicely done. One suggestion, put sleeves in the arm and linkages where the bolts pass thru. Since they are straight bolts, those threads WILL wear out the holes before too long.

I still study the plans but have two questions...shouldn't the 12mm rod be 350mm long...(not 310mm as noted)? Also, the hole in the 50x50x40 piece shouldn't it be 22mm diameter (not 12mm as noted)? Please clarify. Otherwise great set of plans...Thank you
